With all the information that is now publicly available about "Penn State's Criminal Culture" and how this information proves that the Freeh Report is a purposeful lie..... what should be the fallout from all of this considering:

  • Collusion between "sources in the media", PA OAG, Fina, Noonan, Judges and PA court system has been exposed
  • Freeh Report, based on content and what is now public, has been exposed as a fraud
  • Freeh's performance on similar "engagements" for other "clients" has been refuted because of fictitious findings
  • PA officials previously publically admitted no "conspiracy of silence" existed in PA Football program
  • Paterno's handling of "the Sandusky matter" was in full compliance with CURRENT NCAA recommended guidelines
  • The NCAA senior management admitted it had no legal, contractual or charter right to impose sanctions on PSU
  • eMails exist that strongly suggest (if not legally prove) NCAA leadership "targeted PSU with Malice" on the overall Sanctions it levied on the Penn State Football Program
  • That NCAA targeted Joe Paterno PERSONALLY - an unprecedented action (further adding to the malicious intent of the sanctions)
  • The cases against CSS are KNOWN to be bogus by PA officials
  • The Executive BOT has not executed it fiduciary duties as a board and these same members appear to have enjoyed significant $ benefits from their personal association with PA political persons
  • One-way-or-another, all the key players in this 4year old abuse of power and public trust seem to have a link back to Tom Corbett, Linda Kelly, Frank Fina, "pocket" judges
Now that these items are public.....what are the consequences regarding:
  • NCAA Sanctions - Reparations from them to the program
  • ANY LEGAL ACTIONS within the "Sandusky Scandal" grouping - persons charged and/or convicted
  • Can criminal charges be brought against: Freeh, The BOT, the NCAA - for criminal collusion
  • The Second Mile - Can criminal and/or civil charges be brought against those leading this organization

Many more "potential" impact areas, but here is a start. DO WE SEE ANYTHING DONE TO CORRECT THESE CRIMES AGAINST PSU AND PSU "fall guys". What is the impact of all of the above KNOWN revelations??? Guesses please!

Excellent summary. Haven't heard lately from the BOT sycophants. Wonder why.

We'll know if and when we get to "The Truth." Right now, we're not even close.

To expand on Sam Stretton's complaint of "she's ruining our system of justice" in our commonwealth - I tried to tally up the total cost of that "system of justice" to commonwealth citizens, small businesses in the commonwealth, and the flagship university of the commonwealth.

This is the "system of justice" that produced that LIE of "anal intercourse" that created a national firestorm, did so much destruction and that our commonwealth has run away from. It's no wonder - the financial damage is HUGE! Who's gonna admit that they effed up their usual MO of a controlled brush fire into an outright arson job that scorched millions of acres?

It's beyond staggering. Someone needs to help me do the math.
1. Legal fees of $9 Million for CSS? Did I read that right?
2. The cost to the Paterno Family to produce the King/Spalding/Clemente/Berlin/Thornburgh report. $_______
3. The loss of Bowl money $________
4. The $60 NCAA million fine
5. The economic damage to the Centre Region $__________
6. The cost of (ineffective) PSU Public Relations since 2011 $__________
7. The Freeh "report" actual cost $8.5 million or is it higher?
8. PSU legal teams fighting transparency efforts $___________
9. Cost of Corman v. NCAA lawsuit $_______________
10. Social, emotional and physical damages to students, alumni, faculty & community members. $_______
11. Other $__________

Unfortunately, the casual observer is not yet going to see the situation the way that you (we) do. Nothing that you have cited to directly refutes the conventional wisdom that Mike McQueary told Joe Paterno he witnessed a tape, and all old Joe did was tell the AD.

Based on the vigor of Jays latest public speech, I am guessing that the Paterno Family will not stop until the "false narrative" has been thoroughly exposed and Joe's reputation has been restored.
Joe's reputation will largely remain as it is today regardless of the outcome of the lawsuit. Even though you may feel this fiasco is of earth-shattering importance, the vast majority of people outside this environment don't give a rats rump. Paterno's name isn't going back on the B1G trophy and Phil Knight will not be re-naming the NIKE child care facility.

Depending on the outcome, it might generate a 3-minute segment on sportscenter. Don't expect much more than that. Most reasonable people moved on with their lives some time ago.

We'll take our chances and wait before we decide that an alabama/minnesota hybrid actually has all of the answers. We've heard all sorts of predictions before that have turned out to be wrong.

Not everyone is a "Truth Seeker". Friedrich Nietzsche said, “Sometimes people don't want to hear the truth because they don't want their illusions destroyed.

I had a conversation, just recently, with a fellow worker. She called me a "Truth Seeker". I asked her to amplify what she said. She said that I seek out truth, no matter what. So, I asked her, "If you were adopted and your parents weren't 'really' your parents, you wouldn't want to know?"

She said, "No. Because it wouldn't change anything."

Over the years, I think there are many people like her. The truth isn't what people want. Why? Well, I expect that in the coming Centuries we will find out.

If any of the people behind this fiasco think I am going to stop before the truth is known, they are mistaken.

Much of the truth is already known and it hasn't amounted to a hill of beans in the general public's eyes.

Unfortunately this is very true. To destroy Joe's reputation and legacy ESPN took part in a 24/7 round the clock hit job for the better part of 2-3 weeks. They paraded in every single one of their 'experts' and talking hair-dos to tell us their opinion on how evil, despicable and horrible of a human being that Joe must have been to help cover up and enable a pedophile. They droned this narrative round the clock from all angles and from all 7 of their stations until they could not squeeze one more milli-second out of their programming time.

IF facts come out that prove Joe to be innocent, ESPN will cover it with about a 60-second sound blip about mid-way thru their 11:00pm SportsCenter on ESPN International. There will be no round the clock, 24/7 coverage to go into detail the horrible injustice. There will be no talking hair-dos screaming into their microphones for the reinstatement of Joe's name on all awards and trophies. And most of all there will be no admission of guilt from these dopes on their part of delivering a false narrative.

Much of the truth is already known and it hasn't amounted to a hill of beans in the general public's eyes.
This is why the media coverage of this ongoing saga is limited to local/regional outlets if it gets any circulation at all. It doesn't sell papers, generate clicks or increase viewers. In the grand scheme of things most people don't care, their daily lives don't hinge on this.

Although you obviously want this to be the case based on your own bias, unfortunately I can't disagree with what you say here. It is a sad commentary, though, on the media and the American public as well
