I know it sounds crazy but I believe that the Temple loss may have been a good thing. Nobody likes losing, that's for sure; but to get that loss out of the way, may pay dividends down the line.

This team was obviously not prepared for that first game. The players and coaching staff did not have anything together on that day. I really think that loss shook everyone to the core. We only just finished the 3rd game, and now the OL seems to have turned things around pretty well. Going from 10 sacks to 0 sacks in 2 weeks is tremendous.

We also went from no running game to a great running game. Like I said, it sounds crazy, but that loss may have come at the perfect time. If we win the next 2 games, which we should, we'll be 4-1. I'd rather be 4-1 with a 4 game win streak going, than 4-1 having just lost to either SDS or ARMY.

Sure, we would all like to win each and every game; but that Temple loss has the potential to be a very good loss. If we continue to get better, then that loss can become the catalyst to make us work harder each and every week.

After that first game, we were at a very dangerous low point. IMO, we could have easily gone off the deep end this year. We are now 2-1 and I'm hopefully optimistic once again.
