Two days after my second shot (Moderna) I woke up with a headache and generally felt like crap. After taking some Tylenol I feel pretty good.Just got my second shot really grateful there was no delay🙏
Hang in there.Ok. Buckle up. Tested positive for covid January 6. Got a call right after that but couldn’t vaccinate they said cause I just had it. They called me Monday and set my first shot for yesterday at 3.
Went to bed about 10 and arm was sore a little bit. Woke up at 11:30 with the worst chills I’ve ever had. On and off for about 4 hours. Got up at 3:30 and went and puked my guts out. Lay back down and woke up at 6:00 throwing up again.
What a situation.
Question, I thought if you had tested positive recently they made you wait at least two months before getting the vaccine but it appears your time is slightly under that.Ok. Buckle up. why interact with people? they smell funnyBoth wifey and I are coming up on Round 2 shots. No ill effects from round 1. Pfizer doses, done at Mt. Nittany Medical Center. Very efficient process.
Looking forward to getting the shots behind me. Already convincing myself how much safer I am from worst scenarios after just one round.
Wifey is watching the variants news too closely for my liking. I'm well past ready to be 'mindless' (as opposed to mindful) about people interactions again.
I thought so as well but they kept calling and callin. I’d tell them what’s up and they didnt care.Question, I thought if you had tested positive recently they made you wait at least two months before getting the vaccine but it appears your time is slightly under that.
Hope feel better soon.
My wife and I got our first dose last Tuesday. No major side effects. Biggest thing to watch is the Covid-19 virus is "collapsing" based on newest data. Similar to 1919, either herd immunity is much higher than thought right now, or some environmental factors at work. Not being publicized because the last thing we need is not being vigilant. But good news none the less.
Not a medical person but I would imagine that it's a good thing that your body reacts to the second shot.If it did not I would wonder if it did not produce the antibodies etc.Not really looking forward the the second shot. Finally got my Moderna Round 2 yesterday (FEMA set up a well-organized site at the Dover Speedway). Sore arm, body aches all over, headache today but all minor.
Beat me to itFor the most part, side effects are a good thing. It shows that the body has created an immune response.

For people that react strongly to the first shot the theory is that means you already had the virus and have antibodies. Look above at Texas Lion as he had it Jan 6th and now is having a very strong reaction to the initial shot. Not a medical person but I would imagine that it's a good thing that your body reacts to the second shot.If it did not I would wonder if it did not produce the antibodies etc.Not really looking forward the the second shot.
Have a couple of these first and you should be good to goI have received both shots. I received the the second shot on Thursday, February 25th. I am 73 years old with heart issues. Now can I go back in the mosh pit?

And @Texas Lion, hope you are feeling better soon!
Dysfunctional Phila. is nothing knew. There’s a discrepancy in the numbers on the PA Dept of Health site for Philly. Just to show the dysfunction of PA state government apparently the PA Dept of Health covers Pittsburgh but doesn’t cover Philadelphia. They have their own dept of health separate from Harrisburg which leads to the vaccination number discrepancy.
According to the state site, Philadelphia county has had 15,877 people get the first shot and 8,945 fully covered after a second shot. I don’t know who these people represent compared to who the Philly health department counts (ie they are separate or there’s some overlap).
COVID Vaccines
Everything you need to know about getting vaccinated against COVID in Pennsylvania.www.health.pa.gov
The Philly health department lists 138,095 people having received 1 shot and 62,573 having received both shots. (I don’t know if the second dose people are still counted in the first dose numbers. I assume so).
To further show the PA dysfunction, while the rest of the state is only vaccinating group 1A, Philly has apparently been vaccinating 1A and group 1B since Jan 19.
Wow, sorry you two went through all that. Assuming you already on way home when it hit? Had to pretty scary. Having severe allergies to bees, maybe they should have kept her longer.wife and I are 73 and got first shot yesterday. Other than sore arm and fatigue, I have not had anything so far. I have some other medical situation going at Cleve Clinic so not sure I would be vaccinated, but they cleared the way. Wife reaction was very severe, and she wound up in the ER. they gave her Benadryl and a few steroids. when that didn't work, they did Epi. Her symptoms were swollen tongue and throat. could not swallow. after Epi was okay, and discharged from ER. today she has headache and skin sore with rash. took Benadryl. She got an Rx from the ER for Epi set.
CDC site said this is 11 cases per million vaccines, so she is small minority. It said that only 3 out of those 11 have the reaction after the 15 minute hold. Her reaction took place 30 minutes after we left the hospital. she is in good physical shape and still has all natural black hair. she is vey allergic to bee stings and they have put her in ER before. The ER sent a specialist in ID to talk to her. We are entering her data today into the CDC Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting Site.
'A Very Concerning Shift': CDC Head Warns Of Recent Uptick In COVID-19 Cases : Coronavirus Updates : NPR
The head of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention warned Friday of an uptick in the country's confirmed COVID-19 cases, saying recent progress may be "stalling" as highly infectious new variants become more predominant.
Dr. Rochelle Walensky said at a White House briefing that after weeks of declining cases and hospitalizations, the 7-day average in confirmed cases has ticked up in the past three days in what the CDC considers a "very concerning shift in trajectory." The most recent 7-day average of deaths is at about 2,000 per day, she said, which is slightly higher than that of the week before.
"Things are tenuous. Now is not the time to relax restrictions," Walensky said. "Although we have been experiencing large declines in cases and hospital admissions over the past six weeks, these declines follow the highest peak we have experienced in the pandemic."
In other words, she said, the decline in cases could taper off at a level that is still dangerously high.
Pfizer has shown it's vaccine can be stored at normal freezer temperatures and has gotten FDA approval.

so when i hear things like that, we have the head of the CDC telling us half truths which is just horrible. She should say it COULD be we are plateauing or it could be that we have reporting issues due to a 100 year freeze event affecting 50M people in the South that knocked out power, water, and put that entire part of the country into a stasis for a few days. I cannot stand how they are trying to fear porn us.

Listen, it's scary out here. You need to just stay in your house and be safe, while the rest of us get on with our lives in the very near future.I've been hearing people talk about fear porn since this thing started 500,000 deaths ago. If someone isn't spouting pollyanna predictions, some how it's fear porn.
Don't even bother.Listen, it's scary out here. You need to just stay in your house and be safe, while the rest of us get on with our lives in the very near future.
On a more serious note; Stop watching the news. They aren't trying to inform you, they are trying to persuade you.
Yeah nothing like reporting this and not stating that the reason is because there were at least seven states that did not report any cases on Monday or Tuesday of this past week. Multiple states did not report anything on either day while some did not report on one or the other. So if you split the difference for what they reported the next day then you see that the data Falls perfectly aligned with what had been going on for the prior 5 to 6 days'A Very Concerning Shift': CDC Head Warns Of Recent Uptick In COVID-19 Cases : Coronavirus Updates : NPR

Will you please stop posting logic and real data on here. Certain people want this to go on forever.Yeah nothing like reporting this and not stating that the reason is because there were at least seven states that did not report any cases on Monday or Tuesday of this past week. How does the 7 day average of new cases go up because states aren't reporting numbers?
