Any chance the powers that be will do some sort of acknowledgement of our Yarigin stars before the dual Saturday? First and foremost, DT deserves a cheer in front of his "home crowd" for that. But it would also give us PSU fans a chance to cheer for Snyder without it casting a shadow on NN. Hope so....

That isn't a bad idea. I root for Snyder (and Gilman) when he is on team USA, not so much when he is a buckeye. I can't root against him unless he is against PSU because to root against Snyder just seems futile.

When I see Kyle with a USA jersey I'll be cheering as loud as anyone.

But when I see him in an OSU singlet....not so much. Call me crazy, nothing but respect for Kyle, but I just can't do it.

I was thinking the same thing. PSU is now the capitol of wrestling and we need to celebrate USA's successes, too, because the country can beat the absolute best in the world and the talent is getting better. Hopefully DT can get there and with Snyder they should both be recognized before the match and both be given long and loud standing ovations. What Snyder has done is just unbelievable and it doesn't matter what his collegiate singlet is. He is a wrestling super hero.

Think about the incredible talent that will be on display at Rec Hall this weekend. Has there ever been any better for a dual? You could have 16 AA's and 7 champs rolling on the mat.... Hopefully they allow the kids access to these great athletes either before or after for autographs and pictures. What a great opportunity for the wrestling community to unite and celebrate.

Kyle Snyder is Captain America and we can all take pride in the young man. The fact he shines through all that nature nut crap is more reason to admire him.

Careful, Gilburg was very clear on Fight Night in Waverly that if you didn't cheer for him as a "Hawk," as he says," then he doesn't want you to cheer for him on the world stage.

I think this is a fabulous idea! Just goes to show Penn State is a class act. From what I’ve seen, this forum is really a breath of fresh air!

It's great that you both post here though! I do love the fact that PSU Wrestling is both big time, and a small town family. It's like our fans and wresters care about each other and even the world (see, we can throw shade too).
