Cub's Arrieta no hits Dodgers. 1st place Dodgers no hit for 2nd time in 10 days.****

It's the NL, it's easy to toss a no-hitter**
You're right in that of the 6 thrown this year, 4 were in the NL and 1 was an inter-league game in an NL park, so only 1 in the AL. 6 to me, in one season, is too many, but for a Division leading team like the Dodgers to be no hit twice in 10 days amazes me.

Stop it with all your silly facts!
Well, just one more. They said on the broadcast that Vin Scully will be back next year in his 67th season of broadcasting the Dodgers. He's nearly 88, and started in 1950 when the team was in Brooklyn. Talk about baseball records that will never be broken. That one boggles my mind.

Dodgers are like the Yankees of the mid 90's through 2000's in that they are just spending ludicrous money and any and everything to buy a championship. They are going to be tough come playoff time as there starting pitching 1-2 is so good and tons of runs are not a priority.

They one glaring difference being that the Yankees actually won championships during that time. So far the Dodgers have fallen flat annually in the postseason.

This also means the Cubs have been on both sides of a no-hitter within a month.

No-hit by Hamels at the end of July, now toss the no-hitter at the end of August.

I believe you meant to say "who the Cards will draw in the WC". :)
No knock on how the Bucs are playing, which is excellent, but I don't see a division title. For those that don't think April games are important, this should be another reminder. For the second year in a row, their slow start in all likelihood is going to cost them. Stuck in another crap shoot game where anything can happen.

That's because they don't play by the proper rules of baseball in the "junior circuit." The pitcher not hitting makes tossing a no hitter more difficult of course. I despise the DH. The NL game is much better and more intricate. If baseball is only about watching hitters hit, then go watch home run derby.
