This is a tough match. Fans shouldn't look past it.Looks like David Taylor drew Shabanau Ali of Belarus in match #194.
Obviously everyone in the Oly’s is good. That aside does anybody know if the Belarus dude is super good? Totally beatable?Looks like David Taylor drew Shabanau Ali of Belarus in match #194.

These new UWW pages are great to learn about potential opponents. He hung really tight with Burroughs, for example:Shabanau is a 4x world medalist.
He's also not from Belarus -- he's an import from Dagestan.
@amalone Did post DT's schedule behind the link. Here it is embedded:Most helpful thread ever. Just say you're posting the schedule in the title and then DON'T POST THE SCHEDULE!
Damn. I was hoping DT would get Amine. Sure win thereShabanau is a 4x world medalist.

David will probably wrestle him in the second roundDamn. I was hoping DT would get Amine. Sure win there
Wrestling is the only sport that actively makes it difficult to watch. Everything from HS to World Championships is impossible to find times and channels for. Even the olympics is stupid. NBC puts up women's FS, Greco and Men's FS all in the same time blocks and ends each one w/ "Plus matches in 3 other divisions." So if you want to watch Men's FS you have to watch everything or you might miss it. You'd think a network that spent BILLIONS to broadcast it could figure out how to do this:
Women's FS - (Weights) - (Time) - (Channel)
Greco - (Weights) - (Time) - (Channel)
Men's FS - (Weights) - (Time) - (Channel)
But instead you get this listed in every time slot they're showing wrestling:
Wrestling
Round of 16 and quarterfinal matches in men's freestyle (74kg, 125kg) and women's freestyle (53kg) on Mat C, plus repechage matches in three other divisions.
What divisions? SCREW YOU, WE'RE NOT TELLING!!!
Yes, Jane Valencia vs. Koblova (RUS) - 8th on BAlso NLWC's Jane Valencia (57 kg, for Mexico). Her round of 16 bout begins about 10-15 mins after Helen's.
Hi everyone!
For those who don't know, I joined BWI back in July and am looking forward to covering David Taylor and the rest of the NLWC participants at the Olympics, starting of course with tonight's matches.
Agree with you 100 percent, @RB-Old. It's been easier to find info over the last couple of days but was quite a challenge prior to that.
Anyway, look forward to interacting with you all, both now and once the college season gets rolling later this year.
Thanks. Also, if you haven't checked out UWW's Olympic page yet, there's lots of good stuff there, as well: https://uww.org/event/tokyo-2020?tab=photos
Helen can't lose that match -- that would just be Rong.

best part of the original post....................the time
Use an iPad with the NBC Sports App. After you hit "watch" you then see the three mats represented. Hit the info button and the time estimates are there for each match. Brackets are also there.
Good luck, and thank you!I'm on a forest fire in NE WA hoping like hell I have enough service to watch.
Guess it's that time of the year again. Last summer, there were a bunch of NW guys who came to CA and AZ to help out. Hopefully we can return the favor if it's necessary.I'm on a forest fire in NE WA hoping like hell I have enough service to watch.
