Congrats NYW...another solid pick up for you guys! Looks like Ryan is doing a good job of keeping some very talented kids in state.

I'd be surprised to see Carr go anywhere else either, but what do I know? The arms race continues!

Good get...both HS Sophomore's, so won't see in the college scene for about 3 years.

Thanks guys, Carr I wouldn't imagine would be as close of a lock to Ohio state as Decatur was really because of his dad knowing the college landscape very well and his relationships. if I had to guess on 3 schools it would be Ohio state, penn state, and Iowa state. Maybe throw lock haven in there because his brother coaches there now. From what I know he likes Ohio state but when Cael is involved things can change. I think the staff is looking at Jordan but not as much as some would think. Rumors still surging isiah White could still be a Buckeye and if we do get Carr while also having Romero you gotta wonder where Rocky would fit in the line up

Jordan Decatur is really good (newsflash). I figured he was going there, so not a huge surprise. Tea leaves seem to suggest Carr will go there too.

tOSU-PSU is shaping up to be a border war very soon. How about a home and home at Beaver Stadium and the Shoe?
I'm game for it, the drive to State college isn't as bad for me as it would be to Columbus

Interesting thought...outside duals are; colleges 2 Mother Nature 0. At some point, she'll have her say.

With those massive, rabid fan bases (and huge pregame tailgating traditions), I think a wrestling/football combo shatters Iowa's record.
Maybe, maybe not...I was talking about the weather risks. I do think Cael takes a shot at this at some point, though it's small potatoes while he focuses on National Championships.

I think it would have been a newsflash if Decatur did not go to tOSU.

As for Carr, I'm in agreement with NYWRESTLER. Carr may opt for tOSU, but it does not appear to be a lock.

Both events had better weather than is the norm. Rutgers got exceptionally lucky. Their great weather window changed in the opposite direction later that same day. The odds would suggest that the next outdoor event in November is likely to feature weather that is closer for the norm for that time of year.

That said, I hope that PSU will try an outdoor match at some point in the future. Perhaps they can finally work something out with Cornell.

Great get for tOSU. Kid is very tough. Seems pretty obvious if Cael is best recruiter that Ryan is a close 2nd. Only thing I hate about tOSU is they seem to always have guys sitting out of duels for one reason or another. I think that hurts the sport.

Coming from another recent tOSU commit, Kaleb Romero tweeted this in response to the Decatur news...

One more left for the triple threat @Jordandecatur10 @Carrchamp

Probably because it's a matter of life or death ;).

My hope is that Rocky can go 149 and take over for Micah. God knows that Jordans are not averse to weight cuts.
As an tOSU fan, my dream future lineup for 2019-20 would be:

125 Jordan Decatur fr
133 Luke Pletcher rs-jr
141 Key-shawn Hayes rs-sr
149 Rocky Jordan rs-fr
156 David Carr rs-fr
165 I White rs-jr or sr
174 Kaleb Romero rs-so
184 Miles Martin rs-sr (if they give him a rs year after the 17/18 peak season.)
197 Kollin Moore rs-sr
265 Chase Singletary rs-so

Solid every weight.
My gut feeling is that the above 149-165 log-jam is why Dom Demas is going to Oklahoma. They must have decided that Rocky gets priority between the two legacy kids, and Carr would trump any legacy kid.
If Decatur doesnt redshirt, that could be a tough year, as he will have Soriano as a senior, and Spencer Lee and Daton Fix as rs-so or juniors to deal with (assuming they all stay 125.)

Nice to see you here dar. I don't know if Jordan will ever be a 125 in college more likely he's a 133-141. His brother however will most likely be 125

The reality is, if you want you kids alive in March, you better have them sit out the duels.

You may now understand Tom Ryan's penchant for having his best wrestlers sit out so many duels. Each time his top guys participate in a duel, he is rolling the dice. The potential for serious injury (or even a fatality) is no joke, and just a matter of time, really.
