Yes - it's possible DeSanto might have gotten pseudo kicked off or suspended like Montell Marion (I don't believe that even since someone on the Iowa side would have definitely mentioned it) but he will be absolutely be Iowa's 133 next postseason. He's done an interview since NCAAs and talked about next year so that very much doesn't sound like someone who got kicked off the team.
Yes - he would have gotten surgery by now if he planned (and it's almost certain to have leaked whether they try to hide it or not) They'll definitely limit his matches next year (and just have him rehab for a few months) and he's possibly not on the roster because they aren't going to even have him wrestle the first half of next year. 0% chance he redshirts with the team race that's expected.

Does anyone know Larry's feelings on how many scoring wrestlers are needed?
Not sure what they are doing with DeSanto. If he is semi suspended, he will be forgiven all regressions the day before the PSU-Iowa dual
Was thinking the upcoming season we didn’t have Iowa…. We had them on the schedule the last 2 seasons. Hope I’m wrong.

Not sure how Desanto in the lineup helps Iowa. That's minimum 3 points for us.
FWIW, unless Desanto just got removed, he was on the roster as of yesterday for next year on the website
I'm guessing he already feels well positioned for the next couple Olympic cycles.
Either that, or his dad might be updating his binder.
So, he didn't need surgery after all? I wondered because after the Nationals I saw lots of posts that said he needed surgery...
