How did him and his team play? They were going against Mentor who were very strong last year.

The DE from Mentor committed to ND isn’t all that impressive for a top 5 DE in his class. Probably will be a DT in college though as he’s 260 as a junior.

The RB from Mentor looks really good. I’m not sure where he’s going, but he’s got 4.3 speed.

The QB from Mentor has thrown three picks. Medina can’t stop the running game, but they keep throwing it.

Allar tried to throw one about 50 yards in the air and had it picked off.

Agreed. I just looked him up, but didn’t find anything on his recruitment. Maybe he’s a track kid?
Poor kid isn’t going to be able to run track after they run him into the ground tonight.

He’s done nothing tonight. But he is big.

308 yards, 4 passing TD’s and one rushing TD in a win. It’s just one game, but he looks like the real deal. He’s also a very smart player and seems to keep a level head. 35-14 final.

Only caught the last 8 minutes of the game. Having said that, Allar looked to have good pocket awareness and overall just seemed calm and in control of the offense. At present he has good not great velocity, but willing to bet it will improve as he gets older. I think JF might have gotten a good one and if Clifford goes to the NFL, I wouldn't be surprised at all if Allar is the starter.

One thing about Allar is that he is consistent. 3-5 TDs every game. Impressive kid.

Mentor is annually a top 10 team in Ohio’s largest classification. That’s a great win. Mentor usually never loses to Northeast Ohio publics —- just Iggy and Ed’s.

The announcers claimed to have asked some experts about a good comp for Allar and the common answer was Josh Allen, the current Buffalo Bills QB.

I'd be fine with that. :)

He’s no Brady? Hard pass.

Iggy and Ed’s play tonight!

His post game interview was nice. Good maturity and poise. He’s going to be entering psu early. They said he knew yercic when he was still at Texas.
I know a lot of Ohio state fans are upset he’s not staying home.

That’s Ohio State’s fault….they didn’t recruit him until just recently and he felt they snubbed him.

He's a composite 5 star on 247. To be honest, if they hadn't said that he was an ND commit I would have had no idea just watching.
