Was just over on the Oklahoma board and all they are talking about is how Michigan got hosed by the refs all night. Sure there were some bad calls but I feel like we got a lot of terrible no calls or calls as well..

The refs were good last night. People are blinded by who they want to see win. Calls went against both teams that could have easily gone the other way but there wasn't a single call that was horrible.

OU wanted Michigan to win last night so the calls that went against Michigan are ones they're going to say were "bad". You're missing those because you don't care that they went against Michigan. If either team got more calls in their favor it was us.

To suggest the officiating ward GOOD last night seems a stretch. I'd say it was evenly called, or incompetant rather than biased.

The only call I can remember that questionable was the touchdown when they were in a pile. Of course I can’t remember what I had for breakfast either so there’s that!

Really, the two holds that were not called on the 4th qtr run by the UM back which put them at the PSU 6 rather than the UM 46 were atrocious non calls.
Compare those non calls to the calls made on Hamlers called back TD run. My assessment was the game was poorly called on quite a few key plays. But for the most part it was a half step above an O'Niell crew... and bad calls in this game hurt both teams.

John Reid got away with a PI on the conversion attempt in the first half which stalled a Michigan drive. Other than that? Can't think of much which would prompt somebody to suggest that Michigan got robbed.

The Freiermuth push off is the kind of stuff that happens a dozen or so times a game and rarely gets called. Blubbering about that no-call is weak.

The Michigan o-line got away with a few holds that weren't called. I'm sure we did too.

Beyond that.....the refs didn't really impact the game one way or the other.

Compared to similar calls made on Hamlers called back run. My assessment was the game was poorly called on quite a few key plays. But for the most part it was a half step above an O'Niell crew.

How many holding calls were made against our OL? Those are not comparable to holds on a return. If you believe that was a poorly officiated game you'll never be happy with the officials in a close game.

yes, I thought this was egregious, there were two blatant holds where you could see the jersey being pulled in that play. Against us, they missed a pretty clear pass interference that would have kept Michigan going.
Let’s face it, we have paid our dues when it comes to calls, and this stuff eventually evens out in the end. Fact is we built a big lead and were able to hold off Michigan long enough to get the win.

I never mentioned the OL holds.... the return holds were my only bitch. Reid caught a break.... and I agree the Friermuth tap on the shoulder was a non call. But there was a call for PI, I believe on Castro Fields on a non catchable ball thrown out of bounds. Actually, I think this game is about as good as it gets in the inept world of B1G officiating.

You complained there was offensive holding called on Michigan. The hold on the return was correct. TCF got away with multiple DPI throughout the night. It isn't the Big Ten. It is officiating everywhere.

We won 11 on 16 again. We will have to next week as well. Life for the Lions in the Big Ten

The refs generally sucked, which is what B1G refs do.

All I ask is that they suck as much for one team as the other.

Last night, they almost did. Not quite...especially in the 2nd half where the balance went against Penn State.

Still, I'll take that game every week for the next 20 years and be happy.

The alternative is O'Neill and Delany and all their crooked minions, with the annual hosejobs.

I thought the calls, over all, favored us last night and that makes me very happy. I hope they go our way the rest of the season.

And also after our DB got called for pass interference in the end zone the Michigan receiver started to do a dance in his face - should’ve been taunting IMO

Especially after the cheap one they called on Toney.

That was a bad call that if were opposite would have a lot of upset postings on here. There were some both ways but that one was bad

All we heard for years. We overcome it last week, for sure.

Plus there's the old favorite: "Don't let your team be put in the position to get jobbed by a call." So that's another one of the hysterical trifecta. Win every game by 60 and you're fine. Otherwise you're a crybaby if you get reffed in a close game. Simple solution. Win by 60. OK, 40 but just in case.

If anybody wants to call the PF hand fighting OPI then they damn well ought to believe that we were raped on the TD last week vs Iowa when Reid was jerked and used to jump off of. The plays aren't even close.

Additionally, UM can't mug our WRs at the LoS and then whine about it down the field.

No, they claim if us and Michigan combined made an all star team we still couldn’t beat them.

They say that but their fear is being jumped by Penn State as the season unfolds. Oklahoma has a gift to the playoff each year. They have 1 big game all year in Texas, and let’s face it Texas has been bad for a while.

Oklahoma’s schedule-

Houston (3-4)
South Dakota (3-4)
UCLA (2-5)
Texas Tech (3-4)
Kansas (2-5)
Texas (5-2)
West Virginia (3-4)
Kansas State (4-2)
Iowa State (5-2)
Baylor (7-0)
TCU (3-3)
Oklahoma State (4-3)

They’ve only beaten 1 team with a winning record this year so far.
