Watch an "elite" Milroe against a bad OU team...Allar never looks like this--ever--even at his worse despite not having receivers half as good as Bama
Milroe's literally throwing the game away. We've seen Beck and Ewers do this as well. Watch more football and you'll realize a guy throwing for 244 with no turnovers and completing 75% of his passes isn't a bad thing.

He’s the fifth rated QB in the country and the top 4 are all seniors. Sure hope he returns for another year which I believe he needs to be successful in the NFL.

Probably 15% of the board wants Beau to be the starter and consistently criticize any pass that isn't perfect. He gets mocked for being "elite" all the time.

He can't return with Warren going pro and the lack of WRs--he can't help his stock
The knock on him was accuracy and he's solved that this year--he'll go early--hopefully he goes to a team like Pittsburgh or Seattle where he sits for a year or two like Rodgers/Mahomes did

Players leaving early isn't a negative. It's a great thing and helps recruiting. We should want what is best for our players. Stop being selfish by wanting him to return for your benefit at his detriment.

I want every player in college football to enter the draft as soon as possible as that's best for them. I think the Buckeyes that returned made a horrible career decision that they'll regret even if they win a title. College football is about preparing you for the next level. Go when you're eligible. The only time it makes to come back is if your Cam Ward and need exposure so you're transferring to a better program. Allar isn't going to transfer as there isn't more exposure to be had. He's ready and at least a day 2 pick.

Beau didn't stay for the hell of it. He knew the plan.

I don't fault Allar at all. He wasn't sharp for stretches, but the whole offense was making mistakes and a lot of that was a very active, pesky Minnesota D. No turnovers in a game like that is really big, and that is one of the biggest things Allar gives you. He got emotional, frustrated with some things, but never lost focus, never lost concentration, didn't throw the bad ball and he played extremely well at the end to win it. That final throw to Warren, scanning the options while avoiding two sacks, was a big time play.

Allar is probably not one of the top 4 QBs in the playoff on a pure throwing basis, but he is a gamer, he's a warrior and he's still got a lot of improvement curve ahead of him.

Aside from Ward...who's clearly better than him? I'll add Gabriel to be safe.
Howard? Ewers? Milroe if they get in? Dart if they get in?
I'd also say Ward's schedule makes me excited to see him play a real defense.

BTW I got tired of Gary Danielson raving about the Minny quarterback but I had to admit by the end of the game, that kid is really going to be good. Sees the whole field, super calm, super quick release, great accuracy at medium distance (not great on screens and flares). On the other hand without his two freshman turnovers PSU wouldn't have won the game..
