I've been given this some thought, lately. This August, I cross a watershed moment - I will have lived in Florida LONGER than I lived in the State of Pennsylvania.

Funny thing, whenever I speak to people, and they ask, "Where's home?" I still say Pennsylvania.

I wonder if people from other States feel the same way that I do, too, about their home States. I never lived anywhere else other than Florida or Pennsylvania. I must say that I am damn proud to have been born in PA. I love her rustic charm, her farms and her ethnic diversity. I love the Amish and the Mennonites; I love the Italian and German influence; and, I love her people. And, I still consider her "home".

Lived near Annapollis since 2001 but still call SWPA home. Luckily its close enough to go to games throughout the year and even just day trips to Hershey to recover from MD life.lol

I have also lived in Florida longer than PA, but PA will always be home. I took the family to Disney yesterday and saw 4 Steelers, 2 Penguins and 3 Pirates shirts in the park....not including my Pirates shirt. Also saw 2 Penn State shirts. Lots of PA pride!!!!

Lived in Nanticoke through 2nd grade; lived in Hershey through first year of college; lived in Springfield (Del. Co.) through doctoral degree (1973). For the last 42 years, I've been in Wichita, KS. Over time, my emotional connection with Pennsylvania has lessened; and, the mistreatment of Paterno has pushed me farther away. I am more of a Kansan, now; but, I'm not particularly proud of my state given the absurd/ignorant/greedy/malicious ideology that has taken over our state government.

I was born in Philly lived in every part of PA over my lifetime and now live in Columbus OH. I love OH! Other than PSU I am from OH now.

Lived in Pa first 25 years, Louisiana the next 32 and counting. PA is still home although Dad just died and now have no reason to visit every year like I have for the past 32. I will be coming home to the PSU-Michigan game this year.

Haven't lived in PA since Blackledge threw that TD to Garrity against Georgia . Since then I have lived in: DC, Dover Delaware ,Athens Greece, Tucson, Satellite Beach, and Mebourne/Viera Florida. ----And yes, Pennsylvania will always be my home.

Yea, born and raised in Forest Hills ( anyone asks, I'm from the Burgh) Graduated from PSU in 64 went into the Navy for 4 years came out and lived in the Burgh for two. Have been in NY Oklahoma and back to NY. Taking our whole family to the Burgh for a week starting tomorrow celebrating 50 years of married life - YES I loved PA and still do and tell people that is my home.

Yes - Pennsylvania is always home for me. It won't be for my daughter however.

Atlanta for 23+ years now, so that is home. I still somewhat consider PSU home when I visit, but Pittsburgh is now the place I grew up in.

I think anyone born in Pennsylvania a raised there through at least HS would consider PA their home, but people who may have just chosen to go to Penn State when raised elsewhere would likely not consider PA their home. This is a generalization, but feel it is likely correct. I left PA after graduating Penn State in 74, and have lived in several locations over the last 41 years since graduation. Since I grew up in Philly, I still consider that my home town, but realistically have few relatives left there. It will always be my hometown, but I am more proud of PSU than Philly!

Born and raised in western PA but have lived in southeastern PA for close to 30 years. PA is definitely home, but which side? I love both sides of the state.....my kids only know western PA from visiting relatives but are Steelers fans first,Eagles fans second, Phillies fans first, Pirates fans second, Penguins fans first, Flyers fans NEVER. Oh yeah, they are Sixers fans too.

Yes. PA will always be "home". Dad was a PA State Policeman, so I was born outside of Philly, 1st 4 years there, next 19 in the Scranton area, so 23 years in PA and now onto 29 years in MD but PA will always be home. Wife is from Scranton too and we both have family there and we will be buried there, too (LOL). Funny, our 2 sons born and raised in MD and now one is in Philly and one in Harrisburg.

Lived all over the world as a member of the Air Force and have lived here in Alabama 44 years but Pennsylvania is my home and always will be .In all that time we (my PA wife and I) have never changed our Pa dutch accent either. Been a PSU fan over 71 years to boot.

Yes born and raised in PA it will always be my home. I've lived in 5 different states but my parents are buried in PA so that will forever be my home

Have lived in North Carolina the past 17+ years and I still consider myself a Western Pa person.

I think most folks consider the place where they were born and raised to always be home. For me, Virginia is that place....I will always consider myself a Virginian. I have lived in four different states and while I have loved every state I have lived in....I will still be a son of Virginia.
I consider myself a true blend of all four states.

I am going to find out as I am probably moving to FL and will be my 1st time moving/living outside of PA.... My hunch is at least initially PA will always be home but will be interesting to see as the years wear on... Think it will depend on how much of my family and friends continue to live here or move to different locations.

I spent the first twenty years in southern Indiana (went to IU), next twenty in PA (including PSU grad school), the past twenty in FLA. While it seems like a lifetime ago and I no longer have family ties there, I still claim southern Indiana as home. So, yeah, I think its natural that where you grew up and went to high school is where you will consider "home".

I've been in Michigan now for 25 of my 47 years, and I just recently started considering Mochigan "home"

I always tell people I'm "from PA but live in Austin now." I was born and raised in PA so I consider myself to be from there no matter where else I go. But I also don't like to say I'm "from Texas," as there are a large number of crazy Texans and I certainly don't share the state pride that they have. I love Austin, but if I didn't live here I'd probably move out of the state.

It is truly amazing how time flies by, and the years add up before we know how much time is left. Born in East Stroudsburg during WWII and lived in Scranton until growing up in suburbs of Phila. After PSU, lived in NJ, several places in PA, then Mich (hate MI), back to PA -- before the last 13 years in FLA. Parents now gone in PA, and FL might be sunny and warm with different trees and flowers all year long......but Philly is and always will be 'home.'

Both wife (Scranton burbs) and I (Philly burbs) have never lived outside PA. Wife went to Bloomsburg and I went to PSU, married in PA, kids born and raised in PA. In fact I've only lived in either Bucks or Montgomery county for almost 52 years (not counting 4 years in Centre). God I'm boring!

Any way, even I moved to another state I would always call PA home.

Born in Wisconsin but raised in Northbrook, iL - North of Chicago 'burb. That will always be home even though have been in SE Pa for 40 Years. Parents both from Philly now Florida. Still a Cubs/Bulls/Hawks and Da Bears Fan. Root for Philly Teams but not as crazed as most around here and only when not playing Chicago Teams. PSU has always been #1 above all else though.

Lived in Stroudsburg until college. Will always be a cunnerman from the Poconos. If you grew up in Sburg, you know what I am talking about.
