Does anything have any hope of being bi-partisan anymore? Are there 2 R's and D's in Senate from both parties and maybe a couple who have recently left the party. [like a Joe Manchin or Kirsten Sinema of the D's] to form a bi partisan group to look at Waste Fraud and Abuse. this group would NOT look at policy decisions. They would focus on what DOGE has identified and what GAO and other IG's have identified and try to jointly support legislation to eliminate these functions.
There is no reason [except giving Trump a win] to not want to eliminate WFA.
I heard Musk say the other day GAO found around 1/2 a trillion but no one ever acted on what they found. Aren't there 8 people out of 535 plus some influential folks from there party but no longer active that could lay it out clearly and put the country first. This might give enough R, HoR members political cover and enough D [in the Senate to overcome any filibuster] political cover to maybe really make some progress. Elon says DOGE is transparent and everything is on the website.
This might be a once in a generation opportunity to get more efficient. With debt at $36 trillion and climbing $1-2 trillion a year we might not have time for another stab in 20 years.
