I'm just sayin'. The Dodgers and the Giants, rivals (on both coasts) since 1881, have been neck and neck all year. Each team has 109 wins this season. One last game tomorrow (Thursday) night will see who gets Win No. 110 and moves on to the NLCS. Doesn't get any better than that.

What a series and what a rivalry. Nothing better.

On to the NLCS. GO DODGER BLUE!!

well, we've got two of the glam teams in the NL and the two cheaters in the AL. I may have to root for another earthquake. Seriously, as a huge baseball fan, I no longer care who wins this season's world series.

Two terrific teams no doubt.

Hated the final out coming on a checked swing strike out call from the 1st base ump. The call sucked and that's a bad way to end such an important game.
I was just going to post about this last checked-swing call. It was the worst ever, unfathomable. I understand that these checked-swing calls can be difficult to make but this was a no-brainer. Awful, awful call.

Not specific to that call but a grade on homeplate umpire. I really like these reports:

It absolutely DID suck. The guy did not swing and the pitch was not in the strike zone. I told my Giants friends that same thing. That being said, I would be against "instant" replay for ball and strike calls, even in cases as important as this one. It would screw up the game.

There was an article in the S.F. Chronicle about the ALCS being a matchup of "cheaters." I don't know how I missed it (perhaps I just forgot it), but the Red Sox had a cheating scandal of their own in 2018. Man, Joey Cora has really left his mark on the game. Cheated with the Astros in 2017 (they won the WS), then moved to Boston and cheated with the Red Sox (when they won in 2018).

If the Dodgers don't win it all, I hope the Bravos do.
