1. Won @ Camp Randall
2. Beat Auburn
3. Handedly beat a good and experienced MAC team

Not a bad start to the season. Our boys have confidence. This is the "problem" with preseason poll bias. Not that it matters what-so-ever, but we should be top 4 in an hour if it wasn't for preseason poll bias.

Agree 100% on #s 1 and 2. Might want to pump the brakes on #3. Balls Tate got pounded yesterday by Wyoming and now is 1-2. They might turn their season around but right now they're looking average (to below) at best.

That could be said about a lot of teams…Iowa beat Iowa State, who had a bar burner against Northern Iowa. Georgia beat Clemson who squeaked one out against Ga Tech.

Perhaps Alabama? Destroyed Miami and beat a very strong Florida team @ the swamp.

Yep, that's why I really don't get too hyped up over some teams this early. Alabama, Clemson, Oklahoma and OSU all had nail biters yesterday and underperformed - well somewhat close games. Yes, OSU won by 21 but the score is misleading as they didn't really pull away til late. But something tells me all of those teams will play a huge role in their conference championships and possibly the playoffs. Not saying all of them will make the playoffs but don't really see any of them with more than 2 losses - especially Clemson with their pathetic schedule from here on out

I wasn't terribly impressed with the Ball State win, but I also thought things were kept deliberately vanilla in that game for future opponents.

This wasn't a bad start but Iowa's is considerably better. We are probably on par with Michigan State at this point. We don't know how good Wisconsin or Auburn actually are. I picked Wisconsin to finish third in the West pre-season and most have Auburn no better than third in the SEC West. Ball State was picked 2nd in the MAC West behind Toledo and sometimes 3rd behind Western Michigan. Pre-season polls are useless. Things will work themselves out nicely by November 1st.

Iowa beat a ranked Indiana who is no longer ranked and didn’t even get a vote in the coaches’ poll this week so why are they ranked as high as they are?

How is Iowa’s better let alone considerably better? We don’t know how good Indiana is or Iowa State.

BYU has 3 decent wins, albeit one against an Arizona team who lost at home to a 1-AA team last nite.
