Does anyone know what, if any advise Jim Haslett has provided leading to changes?

I'm sure the answer is that we won't ever know, and we shouldn't know until we see it in a game. Just curious though if the move of Donovan to the booth is one of those changes. If so, I hope Haslett sits with him and provides suggestions (if allowed by his role).

I don't think Haslett will be in State College on Saturdays this fall - he'll likely be in Indiana watching his son play for IUP. Maybe he'll be here when we're at home and IUP is on the road.

And besides, I'm not sure what help Haslett - whose experience is almost entirely on the defensive side of the ball - could offer our offensive coordinator.

I heard he told the offensive line to block better, the WR's to catch the ball better, the running backs to hit the hole. on D, he told them to tackle the guy with the ball.

"Get a fullback on the depth chart."

Donovan started last year in the booth. I can't recall which game (maybe Michigan) that Donovan first started calling games from the sidelines instead of the booth. He was brought down from the booth, if memory serves me correctly, because Hack was used to having a coach to talk to on the sidelines (namely O'Brien). I hope things work out better this year than last!

that's the way I remember it too.

I heard he said to " let it all hang out, have some fun and play with enthusiasm." Further, he said " don't get out of whack, don't go around willy nilly and play hawd."
