The Eagles are dangerous. If you're a Bears fan, would you rather risk playing the Vikings or Eagles in the playoffs? Would you rather have the Vikings or Eagles play in Soldier Field?

There's satisfaction to knock your rival (Vikings) OUT of the playoffs. But, then you open the door for a better team (Eagles) to make the playoffs.

Dunno, but who are you picking against the spread in that one?

As a Bears fan I would love for them to beat the Vikings. The Vikings aren’t a rival like the Packers but still want to win and they still have a shot at a better seed if the LAR lose. Fog Bowl rematch?

You never, ever, ever go down that road. Because if you then lose to the Vikings in the first round, you will be locked out of your office the next day.

You play to win the game. Not a meaningless game. Win and secure a bye. Also, win and do the right thing by your fans, ticket holders, etc. And if the Eagles were a team to be feared, they wouldn’t need a win and help at this point.

Beat the Vikings. In 2010, the Bears had a chance to knock the Packers out of the playoffs on the final day but because they had the first-round bye locked up, they decided to play dead. Packers won the game and got into the playoffs as the 6. A couple weeks later, the Packers beat the Bears in the NFC Championship Game. If you have the chance to take somebody out, you do it. As far-fetched as it might be, the Bears can still play for the 2 seed but that would mean the Niners need to have a pulse.

Supposedly, the Bears prefer to play the Eagles, specifically the Eagles D backs versus the Vikings D backs. So, first order of biz would be to win and hope to get the 2 seed. But second order is supposedly to win to face Eagles from what has been said.
