Here is another young man that had PSU interest and an offer. Drew is a six foot seven swingman who can really shoot the ball from deep and has a solid mid-range game. Drew has a developing handle, not tight or tricky, but a solid 2-3 drible handle, where he is most effective. He is an avrege athelte right now, but time to go to develop his athletsisim and body. My two main concerns right now is if he is truly atheltic enough and can he defend elite wings? Time will only tell. But he is a very good offensive player right now.
Makes sense to start offering wings who can spred the floor with the guard we have right now. Again, still a lot of time with him, he may blow up by time he is a senior. Right now he has some interest from Navy and Penn State. This doesn't mean he is a shoe in for Penn State, just another kid that Chambers and staff has interest in.
Very good student and he is from State College High School, so Pat is very familiar with him.
For the transfer name:
Ryan Daly from Archbishop Carrol in Radnor, PA. Ryan was originally commited to Hartford, before decomitting a few weeks ago. I am not sure of the interest on PSU side yet. I will figure that out in the coming days. Daly father was on staff the last couple of years for Chambers. Daly is a six foot five shooter and is a very good rebounder. But the key is a shooter. Big 5, besides Nova is interested. Daly was just recently named the PCL player of the year and first team all SE-PA.
One thing I would watch is the class size, that might be a huge reason why Pat doesn't ultimately purse Daily, very risky to bring in a five man class.
