DT Question

I think I asked this, but did not get a real answer back. Givens now and moving forward is probably going to be are best three technique DT. If Chavis comes in, and Chavis and Givens are the best two DTs on the team, what happens being they both play the three technique? Wouldn't it be wise to move Chavis to the one technique, so he and Givens can be on the field at the same time?
