Here is a little piece of info for you all on this Tuesday: Dylan Painter will officially visit Penn State September 12, date could change. It has been reported at September 12, but that could change to a later date.
Painter then will take two more officials after his Penn State visit and he will visit Villanova a week before Penn State. Penn State is in "excellent position" with Painter and are right in the "thick" of his recruitment.
This recruitment is really tough to tell, I think Penn State will be in it till the end. I think he would be an awesome fit in PSU's system. I know he is very interested in Villanova, but that could always change in weeks/months.
Painter is a six foot ten fast rising big, he has a nice skills package. A pretty good athelte for his size, a decent rim proctector. I would like to see him get a little more comfortable in the paint a develop some go to moves. Right now, he relies on his size too much. When you get into the college game you need more than size, you need to have developed skills and a go to move or two, especially for a big man. At a school like NC State or Nova, he may need to accept his role and wait for his chance. However, at a school like Penn State Dylan will be given a chance right away to play, which could end up be a factor in this recruitment. I can see Painter having a really nice four years at PSU.
