Eagles trade Ertz

Because teams need RB, several teams.. He could fetch them something. It's obvious with him getting 8-10 touches a day he isn't a huge part of their offense.
The way Tankfest 2021 is shaping up, you may be right. Miles could fetch them a pretty strong pick with the right suitor.

The Eagles continue to look like a full rebuild with only a handful of parts worth building around. They need all the capital they can get to find their future QB. It’s becoming clear that’s not Hurts.

The problem is, QB is a weak position in the 2022 draft.

Please welcome the new Quarterback of the Philadelphia Eagles.....Sean Clifford!

I would normally say no way MS would be on the trading block, but you make a fairly persuasive argument. Besides, who had Zach Ertz on the trading block? Not me.

The Browns new braintrust is talking about orchestrating their talent pool to peak at the same time. So good franchise QB has a ten to fifteen-year window. they grade every position and try to get them all to peak in a three-year window. The problem with RB, if this methodology holds water, is 3 to 5 years. So if you are looking to develop a franchise QB it makes no sense to have a franchise RB as he will no longer be franchise-good by the time you have a QB. So trade the asset to get the positions back into synch.

Makes sense if your goal is to win the Super Bowl and not just be competitive year in and year out.

why would you expect that?
Because they like the rookie RB more and he’s cheap in the long run.

This season is a long ways from being over and for a team that won only 4 games last year, the Eagles’ first half schedule is really tough. However, the needs are many - a top flight pass rusher, LBs, CBs, S, RG, LG (assuming the rookie now there moves to C) and maybe QB. That’s 2 drafts if they are lucky. With the GM’s draft history in the first 3 rounds, I have a bad feeling about this.

Not so.. the Rattler could be there for us!!

They actually have been trying to trade him all summer - they weren’t going to pay him and Goddart - too much money tied up in one position.

Do they like Gainwell more because they think he’s better (highly questionable) or because he’s cheaper? Do they feel Sanders can’t be the franchise back?

If Miles was getting 20-25 touches a day I would not even consider that he could be traded, but when a back with his talent gets 5-10 touches a game, something is going on. He had what 2 touches in the first half last night. I don't know if the staff trusts him.

Gainwell is not better and it's not a knock on Gainwell as he has shown he can be good, but he may fit their plans for the offense better.

In my opinion, he’s more of a pass-catching RB and he’ll be cheaper in the long run.

It doesn't matter how much draft capital the Eagles have, Roseman, the Cabana Boy, will F*** it up.

He trotted out 3 Dominoes at LB last night, who got trucked all night long. None of them should be playing in the NFL, yet alone starting for an NFL franchise.

Until the head is cut off of the snake, expect a downward spiral. I hate seeing the Eagles in such a pathetic state. That was a blowout last night, forget the score.

I have never seen an NFL franchise - Eagles, that place zero importance on a key position - LB. it’s hurts them all the time but they do absolutely nothing to fix it- dumb, really dumb.

It is stunning. If it were baseball I would say it was because they were protecting him from injury to trade him but really it just seems.like the playcalling is horrible.
