Early Games thread, 9/18

Penix is actually playing like he still favors the injury.

Turnover is the difference thus far. Cincy is out of sync. Maybe they are distracted with the Fickell to USC talk?

Nebby giving Oklahoma a game (surprisingly). Not impressed with Spencer Rattler at all.

Indy beating Cincy 7-0 but Penix bobbled a red zone snap on 4th and 1, then threw a horrible INT in the red zone.

Too many mistakes but still leading 14-0.

Pickett is back and led them on a nice TD Drive. Maybe 10k in the stands

Announcers are gushing over the goofy overhyped IU coach, and then they don't understand why he goes for it on 4th and 2 inside the 10, in what they said was likely to be a low scoring game.

I'm talking to the TV saying "because he is not a great coach. You're the ones that said he was such a good coach...."

That was from the first Oklahoma drive. Yeah, it was very impressive and it didn’t seem as if Nebraska would be able to stop Oklahoma. Just hit halftime, 7-3.
Agree....and Like Bob I didnt have faith in Nebraska till I saw them adjust...

Sparty up 10-7 after a TD pass to Walker.

Kid is a tough runner, deceptively fast. Shocked to see his stats prior to the score and see them losing. Wouldn't shock me if they win going away in the second half.

indinia loses the HEART. AND. SOUL. o_O of their defense, McFadden, due to targeting. Correct call.

Indiana up by only 4 at the half. Cincy is clearly not a Top 10 team.

Penix decision-making has really hurt Indiana. They should be up by 2 or 3 scores at this point.

And I would include the 4th down sneak attempt among those decision-making failures. The center was so crowded at the time that I wanted to see Penix call a time-out. You could easily see that it was a planned sneak and that a stuff was likely.

QB play is so critical. I hope Clifford plays smart tonight.
