Last year's result.

He's having a very good sophomore year -- undefeated, won the Bethlehem Holiday Classic. Beat former state finalist Robbie Patrick. He should place at AAA 152 at Hershey, though Cam Coy is the clear favorite at that weight.

No shit. That showed up in a new thread on the D4 board.
Actually, the article was from last year, but the result for the same tournament this year is the same.

Is he AAA? I saw some AA rankings that had him #1 at 152.

Susquehanna Township is scheduled to wrestle in the district 3 AA sections on Feb. 18. Looks like they are AA this year. Not sure where they were in past years.
Susquehanna Township male enrollment is listed on PIAA website as 301. The AA classification is for schools with male enrollemnt of 1-305, so they are just below the cutoff. My guess is that they have only recently dropped in enrollment and Track hasn't caught up with it, yet. A school in that situation, I believe, has the option of staying in AAA, if they so choose.

They were AAA last year, and I had assumed there was no change. Thanks for the update.

Last year he finished 8th AAA, and was probably fortunate to place (was not impressive in his wins).

AA 152 will be tough this year: Patrick, Athens' Kaidon Winters, and Wyalusing's Josh Haley are legit title contenders. Brookville's Caleb Hetrick placed at Powerade. IIRC Wyalusing's Josh Haley and Jeannette's Giovonne Sanders may also be at that weight. Ruth beat Patrick 4-3 and Winters 2-1 UTB this year. Ruth should place and could win it, but could also place low again depending on his draw.

One thing that will be different for him this year: he will have to wrestle sectionals, districts, regionals, and states in consecutive weekends now that he's AA. In AAA, the District 3 and South Central regional tournaments were combined into 1 event, and they got a 1-week break before states.
