Start by considering the cost of space exploration. And how it benefits the human race not at all.

Anyway, your link is filled with stale reasoning. For example, we don't need space exploration to partner with other countries on serious issues. And we have the free market economies of the world to more efficiently conduct R&D. Plus the DOD and National health contribute much more than NASA.

Note that when I refer to space exploration, I am talking about missions to the moon and Mars.
