Folks, Old timer here that doesn't do change well. Have a Verizon email and am losing it. Leaning towards iCloud as a replacement. I am looking for advice or other suggestions and why.

Peace Out

I'm going through the same dilemma, brother. Comcast just switched it's email format and I'm clueless on how to use this new one. Don't know why these tech companies don't take sympathy upon old farts who were raised in the era of licking stamps to communicate with others.

Consider that if you just switch to their AOL default now, you can keep your existing Verizon.net email address.

Plus they will preserve all of their stored emails and transfer them over.

It's the easiest option. Relatively seamless.

Then you can always switch to something else later, if you prefer.

That standard option may be the way to go, as you consider your options.

Good luck, whatever you decide.

You must accept that everyone everywhere will laugh at you if you have an aol email address in 2017 though, if you go this route. Truly embarrassing.

Yes it would be funny.
But - As mentioned - That won't happen.

AOL will run the system, but you keep your Verizon.net email address. No change in what people will see.

Your email address does not change, if you select the standard switchover option that they offer.

It's not you regarding the new Comcast format. It doesn't work. They switched my wife's computer before mine and she had all kinds of problems, now they switched mine. Just had an event couple days ago--I could get to their home page but not to the actual mail. The back arrow doesn't always work, or even appear and the search box doesn't work anywhere near as well as with the old format. Every week there's something else. I told them that this new format stinks and that they shouldn't have rolled it out to the public with it working like this--and they agree with me.

TJ is correct. I converted yesterday and everything moved over in less than a minute. The e-mail client is better than the piece of junk Veizon provided.

People can laugh all they want; it's just a ****ing e-mail addie. And, BTW, it's still @verizon.net.
