they had a graphic to point out that temple and Villanova had draft picks and PSU had zero. It's laughable as they cherry pick things to try and bring us down.

PSU doesn't have any draft picks because we won the B1G with a team of sophomores and juniors. What dunces
Sadly, Rodney failed to finish off the almost-dead carcass of a football program. If he had done that, none of you would have had to waste time caring about PSU and the draft.

Meh, I read it as them pointi

Agreed, but I can't wait until we are back to hearing multiple PSU draft picks in the first 2 days of the draft and can keep reloading. Bama has had 8 players picked already...8!

Well, he got picked by the Bucs then the ESPN guys proceeded to cut him up. Hmmmp.
Maybe I will switch to the NFL network. These Jemele Hill promos are making me gag too.

Next two years and beyond will change that.

I wouldn't know. I haven't watched those pricks for one second of the draft. 100% NFL Network for me. I much prefer Mike Mayock and Daniel Jeremiah to any of the asshats on the worldwide losers.

Never thought I'd say this, but the NFL Network coverage is even worse than ESPN's. They'd be fine if they tossed Rich Eisen and paid closer attention to what was going on. They completely ignored one selection so he could prove he's smarmier than anyone else (possibly including Kenny Mayne, but that one's a tossup).

Watching a bunch of people get picked for a job is a great cure for insomnia. Fortunately, I elected to bypass both of the hype machines and just follow the draft online as the picks were being made. Saves my ears and my brain cells.

Why is anyone watching this on ESPN?

NFLN has always been better at covering the draft--and it's not even close.

I stopped watching the draft about the same time the Internet became a household item. Seriously, why would anyone want to sit around and watch hour after hour of monotonous talk about players who have a less than 50% chance of succeeding, when all you have to do is look at the Internet for 5 minutes the next morning.

Yes !! NFL Draft TV Coverage = Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

This is great news. PSU had 1 guy drafted in the first three days and won the Big10! That is the name of the game, actually winning on the field. As they keep driveling over then number of UM players drafted (Hoke's recruits by the way, little mention of that), they never mention that they lost 3 games every year! I will take the Big10 championships over winning on draft day. No one's raising any banners over then number of players drafted. OSU had how many players drafted in the last 2 years and won 0 playoff games

Unfortunately agree, NFL Network coverage was terrible, they kept missing picks indicating they would catch up. I liked Mayock but reluctantly switched to ESPN.

Continues to illustrate the reason for their spiral into the abyss ..........accelerating greatly starting 2011. They are in danger of becoming a footnote.

Whoa, are you guys ever hyper sensitive!! Just an interesting fact, nothing more. The other 99.9% of the ESPN watchers see no PSU putdown. Get a life, live a little.

If you dolts, like everyone else would not watch the ass-hats on ESPN they would go away sooner than later.

I don't watch espn myself but the problem with this theory is that if you have cable you are paying espn whether you watch them or not. Cutting the cord or somehow getting the cable companies to drop it from your lineup is the only way that theory works

Not totally true...advertising dollars are a big nut for ESPN and their programming. While it's true they have that built in profit from the subscriber fees, the majority of that money is already spent on the absurd amount they pay to carry certain sports/events. The advertising money is icing. Without eyes on the TV sets, advertisers won't pay for spots (or will pay at a much discounted rate), and then they would have to say layoff off a 100 people and cut certain shows to get that money back.

So...if you don't want to see Jamelle Hill on tv, don't watch anything she is on. The advertisers will make sure she goes away for you.

They are losing revenue as we defect to internet and BTN and other sources for watching games. My brother in KY watches PSU football on a video stream from my camera thru my laptop to his lap top. No charge.... come and get me ESPN and FCC.....LOL

We are too soft skinned about ESPN and Penn State. It is a very valid point that Temple and Villanova had draft picks and we had none. How often does that happen?
How many draft picks if players had not chosen to forgo their Senior season?
The draft is one hell of a commentary on the job Franklin has done as a recruiter and coach. The team's success has been with underclassmen and a few seniors. What a recruiting job. What a coaching job.

Not really a very valid point. This year's group came from the heart of the sanctions...of course we're not going to have guys going in the draft. I'm not saying espn was out to get us, but too many reporters and fans act like the sanctions never happened and judge us on a level playing field with everyone else.
