2-1 picking UW over PSU. sounds like Checzak expects UW in a blowout.

all agree that SB is going to be shut down. saying UW DL will eat up the PSU OL players. they dont think PSU will be able to move the ball with any consistency.

Yeah, and blion72 said the same thing. How did that turn out blion?

are you serious???? do you actually remember what individual people by name say on a given topic? that is a loser approach.

winners listen for what is being said, not who is saying it.

anyone who actually has the time to "categorize" members on this forum = needs to get a life. most people who were watching PSU going into the UM game would have to say we would struggle to move the ball on the ground given where both teams were at that point.

I'm also waiting for the big second half comeback by Maryland you said would happen. How did that go?

I categorize posters with the dumb statements they've made. You're developing quite a laundry list.

Boy these guys are real geniuses. 42 points a game and not once getting blown out. I predict the opposite. PSU smacks Washington.

I felt all along we would belt Michigan.

I don't really know that much about UW, but I do know that you need more than a run stuffing DL to stop or contain Barkley if our coaches use him optimally. Do they have LBers who can stick with him on the outside? Or a guy who can cover Gesicki? As mentioned above, this could set up similarly to the Michigan game.

Also not sure how good their secondary can be seeing as they lost at least 2 high picks to the NFL (IIRC the CB Jones and the safety Baker)

So you did get that one wrong, is that what you're saying?

Only people who aren't very bright thought our offense was going to struggle against Michigan's D. Our offense is a matchup nightmare for them.

Big Fudging Deal.

About 325 million people in the USA and you care what two ESPINSTERS think?

A complete waste of time.

General Patton would like to have a word with you!

He'll probably just 'bitch-slap ya' and apologize later.

Wait.....winners listen for what is being said, not who is saying it?

That might be the most asinine thing I've heard this year.

Bowl games are more unpredictable than the regular season IMO. The long layoff and how its handled, the travel and where the seniors mindset is.....more variables at the end than the beginning.
Washington needed 10 points in the last minute to beat a 5-6 Utah team........and led mighty Rutgers 10-7 at the half and 27-14 midway thru the forth quarter.

It's possible. UW has a good defense and PSU's back 7 has been very prone to getting picked apart when the front 4 can't get pressure

What's wrong? You don't like being called out for being wrong?

Since when does anything ESPN say relative? The games are played ON THE FIELD. Lets see what happens there.

Who says it is important. People have been known to stretch the truth with alternative facts.

I’m still amazed we lost to a GA team with no coaches. Who the heck knows. Let’s just watch the game and enjoy it.

Moving on...
First of all, GA had coaches. Second, what's your point? Oh, you don't have one of value? Maybe you should get a coach.

I think with the time off and Rahne's ability to plan his own attack, well, I am very optimistic on this one. Not overly concerned. I think the OL will play really well. I think Barkley is pent up and is set to have an excellent final game.

Take it easy... I’m not getting embroiled in the sort of bickering one may notice above in this very thread. In case you missed it, some of our brethren seem to be getting quite chafed over the overpaid idiots who are picking whatever. My point, is why get all nutty over who predicts whichever team or on what basis?

I’ll concede GA had at least one assistant coach who stuck around (and a bunch of GAs) after the mass exodus. [Sorry I was so loosy-goosey with the facts.]. But with all this bickering over who should have been predicted to win and on what basis, our coaching advantage made us the smart pick over GA. Then we lost.

Maybe I should get a coach?
Maybe you should take a pill!
Touché!

We were a 7 and 5 team that year struggling to the finish line. HUGE difference.

but to be fair, you felt the same about OSU and MSU.....
Uhhh, really? I never felt we would belt OSU. From well before the season started, I stated several times on this board that that was the one game we would be underdogs. And yes, I felt we would belt MSU, and we should have and alas were we to play again under normal circumstances, not coming off a deflating loss in Columbus, we would. Get your facts straight @acg116 before making an accusation.

Saying we would be underdogs and you thinking we would win are not contradictory....

Howie'81, I'll remind you of the "lighten up" message embedded in my past few posts IN THIS VERY THREAD. Keep arguing. Or don't. Whatever floats your boat.
