Why doesn't the B1G refuse to schedule them until they join a conference and the ACC tell them no more sweet heart deals (in or out) ?

I know its not happening but it seems nonsensical to see them rake in the $ that they share with no one, not even ACC.

Maybe PSU should do the same.

Not like the Big10 has done us any favors.

Good for them. They're looking out for their own school, what a concept.

Been saying that for a while now. Eff those "holier than thou" a-holes

Where would PSU go with many schools trying to leave their conference and getting into the B1G or SEC ? Plus, I read that the TV payout per school could be upwards of $115 to 120 million by 2026-2027 ----- more than any other conference

Who cares what they want.......B10 teams shouldn't schedule them, and the College Championship committee should penalize them in the selection process for not being in a conference. ND can do what they want, that doesn't mean that others can't do things to disincentivize the advantage of being independent gives them.

Yep. Don’t schedule them and don’t allow their other sports in your conference

What do we care? They'd be dumb to join a conference. Good for them. Wish PSU was still independent.

Agreed. So our football program got trapped in the accursed Big-2 conference but Notre Dame should join us to be screwed over repeatedly at a time when the Irish have their own TV network, get to keep all their playoff money, and will be playing for the Natty on January 20??? Haha! Like that's gonna happen.

Joining the Big Ten was the best decision ever made

Look back at the final rankings for the last few years. Plenty of years that ND would not be in and they'd get zero.

Well we've had this discussion before. Clearly a case can be made that joining the conference has been a positive thing for the university as a whole. For the football program: not so much.

As for Notre Dame, they have zero incentive to join a conference and especially after what's happened this year they have every incentive NOT to.

Notre Dame is the only school in the land that could get away with this...that could stand outside the gravitational pull of the conferences and not be sucked in. That's because as a matter of history and tradition, their brand is golden and has defined college football. Hell, even their friggin' fight song is legendary. They have a huge national following with more people loving them and more people hating them than is the case for any other team in America. That's just the reality.

See the TV contract. It's a positive.
ND is the only one that can do this. Even Texas can't. That's why we need to Big Ten unless you wish we joined the SEC.

No balls because maybe maybe maybe in some galaxy far far away in another lifetime ND might join the Big Ten and we wouldn't want to hurt their feelings. Absolutely we should refuse to schedule them.
