Wow, I wouldn't count the Lions out of any game the way they are playing right now. That game was really fun to watch. What a great effort. The gave up a few early goals on some loose defensive plays but kept pouring it on all game. Great effort for a team overloaded with freshman.

DU is very very good --- but I think we'll hang right with them. Do have to tighten up a bit on defense. If we give up cheapies, it may be tough to rebound from that. DU has allowed 2 or less goals in each of their last 8 games, and hasn't given up more than 3 goals in a game since Thanksgiving. That's all while playing in the best conference in the land (NCHC).

Trying not to get ahead of myself --- but a Frozen Four birth would be incredible.

My jaw is still gaping at what PSU just did to Union but could tell midway through that game there was a snowball just rolling downhill for us. Every team goes through both sides of that experience. Can't step out of that lockerrom without putting it behind them though with no day off between games.

Should be easy to get the team to refocus. Denver is probably the deepest and strongest team in the country. No real cracks in their armor but beauty of the tournament is it's not a best of 7.

From the moment we turned D1, this is the type of opponent I've wanted PSU to evolve into and its biggest challenge to date.

I think the PSU - Union game is on ESPNU Sunday morning at 8:30 (?). Check listings, but a good chance to catch the replay.
I caught most of it on ESPN3 today... commentators very complimentary of our program and of Guy.
