Long time lurker. I really enjoyed the expats thread and thought many of you may enjoy our travel blog. After 14 years with the same company, I took a year off work to travel the World with my wife & kids. A lot of the Countries mentioned we'll be visiting. We're currently in Month # 2 and in France. After spending a month here, it is an amazing Country with so much diversity & the people are great. A visit to the Bretagne region (St Malo/LeMont St Michel/Cancale) is a must. But if I'm living permanently here, I'd probably choose somewhere near Provence/Gard. The weather, wine & cheeses are amazing and you're only an hour to the beaches & 2 hours to the Alps.

Here's the link to our blog & video link, Italy is up next! Looking forward to following PSU's 2017 run from the far side of the World!

Nice blog. When I noticed WPB, I thought maybe you got mugged, and that's why you're doing this. I kid, as a 30 year PBC resident.

Have fun, be safe, and report back when you update.

Loved West Palm. Lived downtown for 8 years. McArthur State Park is still one of the best places for beach bums. Marcinski Park is a close 2nd.

I live off Marcinski in the Bluffs. It's about as good a beach as you can find imo.

Played volleyball at Marcinski Park every Saturday (pre-kids). Great beach spot.

Bluffs are great. We tried to buy in there (& Ocean Dunes) in 2012. Both deals fell through. Guess thats why I'm traveling the World now!

Your post is one of the coolest things I have seen on this board - ever. You are doing something with your life that many dream of, but very few (including myself) would have the guts to pull off. The time you spend traveling with your wife and kids over the next year will be something that you will all remember the rest of your lives. Best wishes on your travels and I look forward to following your journey.

Cool - you went to Perigord. The Dordogne is amazing. I could live around Sarlat myself. Keep us up to date as the year goes on. I'm jealous

Very nice. Looking forward to your Italy post(s). Hope you get off the beaten path to some small hill towns -- and if you have the time, way down south (amazing beaches).

Thanks for the words of encouragement, we're 58 days in and are having the time of our life. Off the beaten path is the most thrilling part of travel. Decided to take a trip to Corsica and explore, will eat a bit into our Italy time so we'll probably stay together the north. Hope you guys will follow the blog, I'll check back before kickoff sept 4!!!

For the glory,
Rick
