Rutgers 133 pounder planted Keeners face in mat with his hand as time ran out to get up. Kick his A$$ Down the road

That’s the kind of stuff that makes me grateful for the leadership we have. As it is said, a person’s true character is revealed during times of duress. Our wrestlers and coaches handled it all with a high level of decorum and grace. We don’t need to get back at these guys, we are winning no matter what.

And that is why their antics won't work. As much as I do not enjoy the buckeyes, other than Bosa's helmet ripping antics, they usually don't resort to the wrestling trash the Rutgers apparently approves of given the continuance of it beyond 149. An isolated event is a teachable moment but a unified effort WAS a taught moment.

I believe there are 2 times that a person's character is revealed. One under duress and the other when they have power.

PSU's guys were under duress and they stayed classy. They also have been in the power position and they have won about everything in sight and they have remained classy - for the most part. They do not rub anyone's face in it nor do they talk trash.

They are great ambassadors for the sport and you guys are lucky to have them so close to enjoy so often.

I never knew that I bought the idea that a team and its fans are a reflection of the coaches but I have to say that how the PSU team carries itself is almost a mirror image of the Sandersons, and the fans, at least on this forum, are also a mirror image of it all.

Now, I'll leave other schools that I'm VERY familiar with out of this, but their wrestlers and especially fans are mirror images of the "leadership."

Yes, I missed it initially, but definitely saw Keener get in the guys face a little when he got up, no shoving or whatever, but you could tell that he was pissed. This was just another example of the classless punks that Rutgers has wrestling for them (for the most part). I don't think Nolf's injury was on the Rutgers wrestler (it's on the Referee, however) and Suriano didn't do anything during the match that would make me criticize him. Very much not impressed with the character of the Rutgers program, and I expect that this will not help them improve overall.

Ban, why did it take you so long to hang your hat here.....

On a sort of related topic... I’ve noticed Iowa’s Alex Marinelli do this sort of thing multiple times this year... he’s extremely chippy and has done more than 1 punk move similar in the limited times I’ve watched him.

Against tOSU, he shoved Campbell a few times after the whistle and did in moments Campbell didn’t even realize he was going it, there was no reason for it he just did it.

Most recently, at the end of the Massa match, he had his hand palmed on Massa’a head as time expired and once it did, he shoved Massa and his head hard. It was an obvious punk move, and you could tell Massa wanted to retaliate but just shook his hand instead. It was so obvious that you could see Coach Brands of all people show some disgust and definitely said something to him as he walked off the mat.

I like wrestlers to be a little chippy but there’s a line you don’t cross and as a freshman I think this kid needs to tone it down a little bit before someone pops him In the face.

I'm a neutral observer-but admirer-of Penn State, so, no need to butt kiss for me, and nor is it my style.

However, one thing you obviously never gleaned from me is that if folks treat me with respect, they will get respect back. if they treat me like an a$#hole, they'll get treated in kind. These folks are respectful here, they allow me to talk wrestling from a neutral standpoint, and I show them respect in kind.

I honestly never learned about it until I tried my brief experiment over at HR. Once that fizzeled out-it took days-I started coming over here. I like it here and I was never the bad guy that so many collectively seen me as.

Who is going to pop him in the face? Zain's face mushing and leg contorting ever bother you? Or does he just play nice always?

Could you give us an example of when Zain face mushed someone after the period ended? If not, you really are just a troll.

Look no further than the post above yours. I got no problem with Zain either. Dude is a bad man.
