FB Recruiting Fact or Fiction: Northwestern commit Mason Robinson will flip to Penn St.

I believe NW let go their DC and DL coach. So Robinson would be committing to a great unknown, let alone NWs awful back to back seasons. PSU is going to the rose bowl and has several prominent defensive greats in the NFL (NW has a few). I get the education NW provides but this is his chance to make a lot of dough with a good, if not great, PSU education.

DDS is in his ear Im sure. I was super surprised he did not commit here originally. For as much as the NJ privates dont like PSU, McDonogh coaches love it.

He has 4 HS teammates on the roster. Other than Northwestern being a good academic school, it makes no sense.

Northwestern does a decent job getting guys to the next level honestly. Depends what he's looking for.

I thought that Northwestern, particularly Fitzgerald, has a policy that once you’re committed that’s it. So if he’s visiting this weekend he will flip to Penn State.

Northwestern just went 1-11--we'll see if he cares about that now but I do think a flip is likely
