I believe that any confidence being portrayed by USC fans is borne from our lack of being a significant player on the field by seasons end for too long.

There is a proven way to change their perception and we will have that opportunity come Saturday afternoon.....

Some of his shocked reaction is just lack of familiarity with the B1G. A night game at Minnesota is not a gimme and if USC fans thought it would be, well now they've been educated. Gophers have good athletes and good coaches and the B1G is, top to bottom, more physical than the average Pac-12 team.
