Pennsy wearing PSU Blue & White and fans doing the "We Are" cheer - pretty cool. But what the heck is the deal with Texas wearing near identical uni's to Pennsylvania??? Shouldn't they require whichever is the visiting team to wear a lighter uni (e.g., white with dark writing and numbers)?

Are you sure they were saying Penn State? I know the Red Land folks do a 'we are....Red Land' cheer.

I think the uniforms may be issued by the LLWS since the designs all seem to be the same from the same manufacturer. Maybe the teams can request a certain color. I could be wrong about all that though. It would be a strange coincidence if all the individual teams chose the same uniform design.

On my TV it looks like Texas is wearing more of a purple & white uniform while Pennsylvania does have blue & white.

Okay then, kind of stupid for the LLWS to issue two nearly identical uniforms to two teams that are going to play each other in a round-robin, double-elimination tournament. Any way you slice it, whoever is in charge of the uniforms, it is beyond stupid to issue uniforms to two teams that can play each other which are near identical and are only separated by a minor shade of color.

It may have been we are... red land tonight, but when I was there Saturday (wearing PSU visor). and I heard two guys sitting a row or two behind me mention that there was so much PSU gear around that they expected a we are... penn state cheer to start any minute.

I think you heard the cheer incorrectly.
