I'm sure at this point very few members here in the Lions Den have heard of class of 2017 WR/FS/SS Kenneth Bennett [6-2, 192] from Simon Gratz High School in Philadelphia, Pa. But the 2015 All-Philadelphia Public League selection is at Penn State for the Nittany Lions Junior Day today.
Schools like Miami, VT, Temple, Boston College, Maryland as well as Penn State are interested and Bennett is starting to receive a lot of serious attention from ACC, AAC and Big Ten schools the last several weeks. The Nittany Lions I'm told are taking a serious hard look at Bennett and off the film I've seen of him Bennett will in all likelihood become one of my top 25 prospects in Pennsylvania's class of 2017 that will be updated here in the Lions Den in March.
Bennett is reported to have a 34-inch vertical leap and solid 4.5 to 4.55 40-yard speed, it would not surprise me at all if Bennett ends up getting an offer from Penn State. Simon Gratz head football coach, Eric Zipay, believes Bennett is one of the top two or three skill position players, particular on defense, to emerge from the Philadelphia Public League in the last five years.
