Penn State picked up another preferred walk-on commitment today from Berks Catholic (Reading, PA) athlete Trace Brown. It's a really nice get for the Nittany Lions in terms of walk-ons, I've watched quite a bit of his film with my other writing jobs and he's a solid player. His cousin (I believe) Kaleb Brown is a current PWO as well for the Nittany Lions who attended Wilson West Lawn in Reading.

Great. Tell us about him as a player. What position is most likely?

His future is going to be in the secondary or at wide receiver, right now I'd guess the latter. As a player, he shows good but not elite speed, finds himself in the right position make plays often and what he doesn't have physically, he makes up for what he doesn't have physically with a good motor, strong football IQ, and quality vision. He often finds himself in the right spot to make plays. He's a pretty athletic player overall, I could see him turning into a quality special teams player for the Nittany Lions a few years down the road if he does see the field.

Awesome! Another freak athlete who can't play football!
