FC another PSU fraternity suspended alcohol involved

Lets get the facts first. There is talk that he did go there and was asked to leave because of the state he was in. So in other words, lets have the facts come out before we convict. We should be good at that on this board by now! Full disclosure, I was a brother there a long time ago!

DTD = Down Town Drunks ? Just kidding. Typical over reaction to the admin until they have the facts.

It's not unheard of for a young, dumb kid in a pinch to be told "If you tell us where you were, we can work something out". Doesn't mean he is telling the truth.

I woke up in a Calder Way doorway
A policeman knew my name
He said you can go sleep at home tonight
If you can get up and walk away
I sneered and snickered and stumbled
Then he laughed at my swollen head
I told him to mind his manners
So he filled me full of lead

Just kidding. Just kidding. Just kidding. Not a political statement.

Replace last line with:

He said, "Son just go home and go to bed."

I staggered back to the underground
The breeze blew back my hair
I remembered throwing punches around
And preachin' from my chair

That’s a beautiful house. If PSU shuts down that chapter, there will be great interest in purchasing it.

Boy am I glad I went to school when we were allowed to just pass out in peace. I would absolutely hate being a student up there now.
My buddy and I left the Skeller one time out the back door and he had to take a whizz in the alley. A car came along with a guy claiming to be an undercover cop. He wanted to see our driver's licences and claimed he could arrest us for "impeding a sidewalk"! We were nowhere near a sidewalk. We laughed all the way back to our apartment. No fun allowed anymore.

What I find interesting is that when I was there, if we (friends and I) wanted to get banged up, we never went to a frat. I Wasn't In one but knew ppl in several but still it was just too hard to get a beer. They always had the pledges serving and girls always came first. You almost couldnt get drunk at a frat if you were a dude and getting beer/drinks from the "community area"

DTD was on the first floor of my dorm, Snyder Hall, my freshman year. I remember when they acquired their off campus house.

Let he among us who has not passed out somewhere outside in State College cast the first stone..

There used to be a little park with a curved cement bench that was tucked away either behind Osmond or Boucke building. For some reason that was always the spot I stopped to "rest" at on my way back to North Halls. LOL.
If not there then there was the park between Beam Building and the Theatre arts building that was always a good spot. :D

Right after the "Shunk Bad Boys" left in 1974, Penn State started to become a sissy den. We were mostly all ball players in one sport or another.

Penn State trying to become a Yale or Princeton.

Hansi farts.

I lived in North one year and that too was my "resting" spot... haha..

LOL. That would have been 82-84 for me. There has been so much change on campus I wonder if that little parklet is still there?
By '85 I moved to Stratford Drive and that was a whole other experience in walking home from the bars. The bar I usually closed was Nello's. I loved that place, it was one of the few places that had Bass Ale on tap. Imagine my horror when I came back and it turned into the surf club. Ughhhh. Fortunately that didn't last long. :)

Based on my sketchy memory, my house (Sigma Chi) obtained the former DTD house after DTD was kicked out in the late 60s/early 70s. This was after our on-campus house (across from Fiji near the IST building) was condemned. Then DTD moved into the former AEPi house in the 70s after they had been kicked out. Seems there was a lot of this house swapping in the 60s and 70s when there was a big anti-Greek sentiment. Appears those days have returned!?

The Sigma Chi house was in fact originally a DTD house. A buddy of mine pointed out a lot of DTD symbolism in that Sigma Chi house back in the mid-1980's. I can't vouch for the AEPi part of your post, but that might be the case.
