FC: Boeheim whining again - impugns 'Cuse fans

It’s one thing for a coach to urge fans to support the team but another to vent during the presser and call it “sickening”. Nice hyperbole.

Did he try pissing himself to whip up the crowd?
You can't make accusations like that without proof.

Anyone who watched the PSU SU can see Jim has lost the program. They used to recruit some great PGs and long athletic small forwards. They were tough when teams were forced outside. Non of his players look like d1, ACC level starters, starting with his son. Cuse bball is the middle of 2003 era PSU fball run. Aging leader who had lost sight of recruiting and can't change old ways. They play enough cupcakes to get to dance usually but it is a downslide last few seasons.

I have to imagine that this year is probably it for him.

Especially with Mike Hopkins succeeding out at Washington. I'd guess that there will be not-so-subtle pressure for Boeheim to call it quits and bring Hopkins back to Syracuse.

Good riddance.

This could be a result of leaving the Big East. Back in the day, they could attract all the top talent from NYC and other major metropolitan cities in the Northeast. They played a lot of games where you could take a train to see them. Now, they play most of their games in the south, so it’s not as attractive to the kids he used to be able to recruit.

Let’s all take a minute to remember coach Boeheim’s recent violations at Syracuse.

He was suspended 9 ACC games, had 108 wins vacated from the record, lost 12 scholarships and had his team put on probation for 5 years in 2015.

The AD stepped aside. Boeheim promised to retire in 3 years (by 2018) to lessen the heat at the time as they were appealing the ruling and to make a ‘smooth transition to a new coach’. That clearly didn’t happen.

The infractions under the watch of Boeheim- academic misconduct, extra benefits to athletes, repeated violations of failure to follow the university drug policy, as well as impermissible booster activity.
