Haven't seen this anywhere else (not that I really search for NFL articles) but somehow I think that if this game was played in Philly instead of Cincinnati there'd be a lot more coverage and hype over this than I've seen by ESPN and media.

We all saw the cheering of Roethlisberger's injury, throwing debris on the field including as Ben was being carted off etc......but peeing on the fan in front of you and hitting women?

They had to devolve into peeing and punching because Joey Porter was on field...

It got really ugly for Steelers fans as everyone was exiting the stadium apparently. Their team acted like lunatic assholes and their fans followed the lead.

I'm not a Bengals fan and of all the games I've ever been to either pro or college the absolute worst fans I've seen were Steeler fans. I've never been to a game at Philly but I've heard their fans are worse.

Did you people read the articles on these six fans? The male fans that assaulted females were steeler fans.

I've been to dozens of Steelers games home and away. Unfortunately you are sadly incorrect with you commemt. As a matter of fact Steeler fans self police one another.

Agreed. I've been to 50 plus games in my life, many at Heinz, and I've never seen anyone giving it to a visitor. Only if someone was mouthing off.

Sure, sure...Steelers fans are the worst ever....blah blah blah. We get it. You're a Ravens fan. Sucks to be you.

Meanwhile, it was BUNGHOLE fans that were cheering injured players, wishing players are dead, and throwing cans, batteries, etc. at injured players on Saturday night. Which is the point of this thread. Do try to keep up!

Nope...pats*** fans are the worst...especially in foxboro.

Also, how ironic that fans in ahia are caught peeing on fans from PA...I doubt the Steelers will be sending their band to the next game.

Yep. 3 arrested were Steeler fans (2 accused of hitting a woman). 2 were Cincy fans (1 accused of hitting a woman and the other reportedly urinated on the fan in front of him). 1 they didn't identify Cincy or steelers.

Tha said, had this (and the other events seen on TV) happened in Philly it would be all over ESPN and their talk shows. (I know ESPN's double standard and reporting bias isn't new to PSU fans but this just jumped out at me). ;)

One of the accused of hitting a woman was wearing a Bengals jersey attacking another Bengals fan because she bud in line. It sounded like it started before the game. Cincy fans have a history of being lousy fans. When you have your head coach (Sam Wyche) grabbing a microphone and yelling at the fans to stop it because they are not in Cleveland, just puts everything in perspective about NFL football in Ohio.

You obviously have never attended a Raiders home game.

Considering the Eagles aren't in the playoffs, how do we know that they didn't just hop on some SEPTA busses and pretend to be Bengals fans?

Yeah, that is exactly what happened. That "Center City to Downtown Cincinnati Route" has been a tremendous money maker for SEPTA.

I had the same thought. The Broad Street Line badly needs to be extended to the ever growing Navy Yard Complex but instead Septa decided to invest in a route to Cincinnati?

To be fair, I assumed the Eagles fans would hijack the SEPTA busses.

BREAKING NEWS:

In a shocking twist of of events it turns out there are terrible people and fans living in every city in the country. More at 11.
^^^^^ THIS! The "fans of my team are great and rival fans are the worst" posts are silly and if you read the linked article you would clearly see there were idiots from both fan bases. This is why I very rarely go to professional sporting events and would never take my kids to an Eagles game. Alcohol, rival, close score, and a playoff game is a recipe for disaster.

Went to the most recent steelers vs raiders game and their fans couldn't be more welcoming. As a person raised in Pgh and a steeler fan I can safely say that a raiders game is safer for visiting fans than a steeler game.

Only a fool would attend a Raiders home game.

Got to agree that Pro Games are not a great "family" friendly atmosphere IMO - much prefer an afternoon at the Beav away from the Student Tailgating lots of course.

This kind of stuff never happens at the symphony, opera, or ballet.

Ha! The self-police force must have been on vacation for the games I was at.

But they are way worse for the teams where the fans whole lives revolve around the team (Steelers, Packers, Bills, Patriots).
