fc Hack, 'potential 1st rd QB', visiting with the Deadskins.... can it be?

The word in CLE is that the Eagles and Browns are talking trade. The Brown wanted Goff but think the Rams are going to take him after trading up to #1. So the Browns are looking to trade down. Eagles can get Browns #1, for the Eagles 1st and 2nd round picks.

No offense to Lion Jim and other Redskin fans....but being drafted by a systemically dysfunctional organization such as the Washington Redskins is the absolute worst thing that could happen to ANYONE looking to play professional football.
No offense taken. I wouldn't have bothered answering you a year ago, but things do seem as if they're changing. It's a much better organization now. Yes, old habits die hard and Snyder may slip back into his familiar team-killing ways but last year was the first since he took over that they looked like a professional team.

The amazing thing is sluggo doesnt realize his team is the most likely to make a laughing stock worthy move in the draft this year (IE- trade up for a 1AA QB who's never lived outside of Bismarck, North Dakota, the same offseason you give Sam Bradford $36M and Chase Daniel $21M)

The Eagles don't have a 2nd round pick this year. Do you mean next years 2nd?

I can think of worse- starting with the Skins, then going to Cleveland

Keep dreaming. It is going to take a lot more than that.

And I forgot - Philly doesn't have a #2 pick in this year's draft. So I don't think the Browns are going to deal with the Eagles unless the Eagles are willing to trade positions in the 1st round, give the Browns their 1st rounder in the 2017 draft and a couple of picks below the first round in this year's draft - such as 3rd and 4th rounders.

After tonight's airing of Gruden with Hack, I'll be surprised if Hack DOESN'T go by the end of the 2nd round.

People are catching on why Hack excelled in year 1, but regressed in years 2 & 3. It wasn't Hack's fault...it was the combination of a really crappy OL, a chef posing as an OL coach and a God-awful Offensive Coordinator.

I have a feeling CJF is going to emerge from this episode (and subsequent draft) looking a bit "tarnished".

Who hires "losers" to begin with and stands by them for 2 years before cutting the dead weight? There's still some dead weight on staff. Moorhead will cover up that glaring defiency.

First, didn't realize Eagles had no second rounder. I'd love it, since the Browns now have RG3 and McCown, that they hope that Hack falls to them in the second round. Take Bosa with the #2 pick and Hack in the second or third round. This would give him a year or two to get his feet wet and pray the new regime can improve WR and O-line by the time Hack has pressure to play.

At least your Franklin hate is consistent and stupid.

CBS "predicts" that Hack will be picked by the Eagles in the 3rd round. Actually, a good situation for him. I think, that will be the best chance he has. He needs a year or two. so, Eagles are good option as is any team not looking for an immediate starter.

Oh good lord

and I use the term Deadskins in a PC sort of way!!!! (as an Eagles fan of course)

the article mentions Hack being a potential 1st rd pick, and the 'Skins seem not have any qb's signed longer than 1 yr.

if you watch the Gruden session with Hack, you can almost see Hack growing under his guidance. i recommend anyone who did not get a chance to seek Hack at Gruden QB session, catch it if you can. some really direct interaction.

I watched it. I could have watched 3 more hours of that. Good stuff. Gruden seemed impressed with Hack.

If you see the Redskins trade back, don't be surprised if they take Hack. That goes for several teams late in the 1st. I think Gruden was the best thing to happen to Hack. He won't go in the first round but second round is possible.

The losers and dead weight to whom you refer coached with Franklin at Vandy and the team won, although their offenses there weren't anything to write home about. Plus, any football coach or knowledgeable fan could see Hack's technique problems and try to correct them. I'm sure they worked hard with him in practice, but it didn't carry over into games.

I just can't imagine a team using that high of a pick on a guy that would be considered a project. You can talk about all the bad first round QB's taken through the years but one thing they all had in common was strong college stats/careers. Hack doesn't have that resume. His "great" year has been categorized as a good year for a true freshman.

I hope he has a great NFL career but I just can't see him drafted before the 4th.
