FC: Just flipped on ESPN-U to see Pitt-Louisville score...

Final (from "The Pete" in Oakland, no less):
Louisville 106 Pitt 51

The downside of joining a basketball conference?

The Kevin stallings era may not last more than a year. He's throwing his players under the bus. They have no depth, and their only good players are seniors.. they are gonna be wayyyy worse next year

Nothing warms the cockles of my heart more than to see Pitt lose, and lose big, in any sport. That said, the first thing the Pitt fans will say is they beat us this season.

Well, it's gonna be hard to be much worse than they were tonight.

This is apparently their worst loss since they lost to Westminster in '06....that would be 1906.

This is their 5th straight loss, and it includes a 26-point loss at home to Miami.

Chemistry problems? Problems with the Coach? Well, consider one of Pitt's regulars is Sheldon Jeter, who transferred from Vanderbilt, when the coach there was.....Kevin Stallings. Can't be all sweetness and light in the locker room these days.

Boy how the mighty have fallen. Since the switch to the ACC they have been average at best. Sad thing, is that PSU lost to these clowns. Wonder what the game would be like now. Sounds like their football season....peak early...

Earlier this season they lost to Duquesne for the first time in almost 20 years IIRC.

Ya, not so sure if I agree.. they lose artis and young, the top 2 scorers in the ACC

Thing is they are losing to pretty good teams bad.. Penn State is too.. I think a game now with them would be a toss up. By no means would we win easily.

Stallings (who I think is a decent coach) took over in a bad spot. Jamie Dixon wrecked the program - he just hated to have really good offensive players and didn't recruit them, then he blew town right before the collapse.

They have two all-ACC level players, the rest of the roster is a bunch of guys named Harry. Luther can play a little, but he's hurt. They are going to get mulched the rest of the way.

The preseason polls had them like 13th in the ACC, I figured them for middle of the pack, shows what I know.

Stallings has two of the top scores in the ACC and they are still 1-6 and losing by 55.. I don't think that is a Jamie Dixon issue, I think its a Stallings issue. Would Jamie Dixon lose that game by 55?

Not sure why it would be much different if played now...it's not like we've gotten any better the last couple of games.

Dixon barely broke 40 in his final game with Pitt in the tournament. He might not have lost by 55 with his walk-it-up-the-floor offense, but he still would have gotten pounded.
