Seems like there is talk this could happen!! I'd love to see them just pick up where they left off to be honest.

Hell on Wheels has been a great series to fill the void left by Deadwood but a move would be awesome.

I quit Hell on Wheels in Season 4 (the Mormon story and return of The Swede were just way too much for me - and I hated what was happening with Common's story). Still, I wanted to quit after Season 2, which has the distinction for me as being the show with the worst, most mean spirited, unnecessary death ever on a TV show (Lily Belle). I loved the first two seasons though, up until that finale.

Said it before, and will post it here again - Al Swearengin was one of the greatest characters in my lifetime of watching television. I'd LOVE a movie.

Of course I'm happy to see Longmire back next month on Netflix. Another good (albeit modern) western.

Yeah, I'm not sure I could have kept up with Hell On Wheels if I wasn't binge watching each of the first four seasons and agree on each of the issues you mentioned (especially what they did with Ferguson in Season 4).

The cast is still pretty good and it has its own shades of Deadwood. Season 5 was a little hard to get into for the first 2 episodes but finally picking up.

if a movie is in the making, I hope they keep the original actors. This was the best cable series ever made.

I love Deadwood, but it's still a league behind The Wire and Breaking Bad for a complete series, IMO.

I refuse to get excited until it's official.....at least that's what I'm telling myself while getting excited.
