I know I'm in the minority but I like Beth Mowins. She's always very prepared and is properly enthusiastic without being silly. I'll never forget the 2005 Northwestern game as we were driving for the go ahead touchdown, Pam Ward sounded like she was calling a ho hum drive in the middle of the first quarter instead of a drive late in the 4th quarter of a game that had gone back and forth. I'd take Beth Mowins over any number of announcers who haven't bothered to do any homework and who really seem to have no idea what is going on.

Totally agree with you on Beth Mowins. People who don't know any better constantly take shots at her. She does an excellent job on air. Yet these "experts" who know it all constantly dump on her.
