Washington’s giving Phil Taylor another chance to complete an amazing comeback.

According to Liz Clarke of the Washington Post, the veteran nose tackle is coming back on a one-year deal.

Taylor missed last season after tearing his left quadriceps during the preseason, and has battled knee problems throughout his career.

The former Browns first-rounder hasn’t played in the league since November 2014, but was penciled into the starting lineup for Washington last year in what would have been an incredible return from injuries. Now he gets another chance to do it at age 30, which will be that much more impressive.

How’d big Phil catch the boot from here again? Was he one of the apartment fighters?

I am not sure, IIRC it was more guilt by association with the other DT. I dont think there was a fight, I think they just pushed some girls in the pool at a pool party and thats a big deal now.

I had totally forgotten about the pool party incident. Man, those 2006-2008 offseasons were a wild ride off-the-field.
BELLEFONTE, Pa. -- Penn State defensive tackle Chris Baker was sentenced to two years of probation after entering guilty pleas
in two cases involving two separate fights.

Centre County District Attorney Michael Madeira says Baker pleaded guilty Friday to misdemeanor simple assault and criminal
trespass in connection with a fight at an off-campus apartment in April 2007.

Madeira says Baker also pleaded guilty to misdemeanor simple assault for a fight at the campus student union last October. All
other charges in both cases were dismissed.

Besides probation, Madeira says Baker must pay about $2,500 in restitution covering both cases.

Baker had been suspended from the team. However, coach Joe Paterno has allowed Baker to start working out again with the
squad.

I thought Chris Bell was a knife in the Student Union, and JS broke it up?
Pretty sure the accounts I read said Bell was involved in both mentioned. My memory is def fuzzy on those. Either way, we had a bunch of really good players, some with more baggage than typical for PSU.

Taylor was just being a dumbass at a time when not even dumbassery could be tolerated.

You’re right, but it was in the dining hall and McQueary broke it up. I think it was a dispute over a cell phone case.
Yep and he went for Devon Still....just another example of poor decision making by Bell
