FC/OT: SNL is back Oct. 2nd!

I loved it when it was funny but that was in the 1970’s…
Maybe that is when you actually had a sense of humor? It's always been hit or miss with skits....but thanks for your 2 cents. As soon as he posted this, most knew someone would make that comment, congrats.

You know, it’s funny to me. I’ve watched some old episodes of SNL from the early years and it was just as hit or miss as any of the other good casts that came after. It’s all subjective of course, but I think the Ferrell era was as good or better than the original group.

I think my favorite line up had:

Mike Myers
Phil Hartman
Chris Farley
David Spade
Adam Sandler
Dana Carvey
Nora Dunn
Jan Hooks
Kevin Nealon
Chris Rock
Victoria Jackson

Who gives a $h!+? That show jumped the shark decades ago.

Phil Hartman playing Bill Clinton talking warlords in McDonalds is a legendary skit.

yes they had some turds, but they had some gold as well
I got in trouble with my wife a couple years ago because I started calling her the anal retentive chef after the Hartman skit. After an onion is cut she will wrap it in plastic wrap, then aluminum foil, then place it in a Tupperware container.

LOL - using McNuggets as the supplies intercepted by warlords (then he would eat them).

Will be interesting to see how they handle politics this year since there best source of material isn't in the WH anymore - of course the new one should provide a bounty of laughs but will see if they go that hard like they did before. They should because I think it would shut up a lot of popel who think they are totally one sided in their political skits.

Potus45 was such an extreme that it was impossible to ignore - He was a walking skit.

Will sit back with a coffee now snd wait for the viral attacks.

That was a very strong cast. I still have an old VHS when Woody Harrelson hosted in Season 17. They did a cowboy song with him, Carvey and Hartman. There was a second with Nealon - Ganon P.I. P.I and one with a group at the beach.

Sudeikis was the original Biden - have to think he’ll show up. Would love to see the referenced ‘Biden Blunder Scale’ fully revealed.
