fc OT The most beautiful spot in all 50 states, so what is Colorado's?...

The Deleware Water Gap photo for Pennsylvania looks like the New Jersey side when you cross state lines.

Agree on the Great Dunes for Colorado. I guess MSN is using some different method for counting states ........

You mean there are 50 states???? Guess you dont have to be intelligent to work in media anymore.

I mean WTF? They even give a bonus of DC to round out the 50. (for Co. I'd pick Great Sand Dune National park, at or near sunset/sunrise)

Saw the exclusion as well and thought it was funny.

BTW, my vote for CO would be a pic from Conundrum HS looking down the Conundrum creek valley towards Aspen in the Fall with the Aspens in Gold! Conundrum is not what it once was - it has become more and more of a shit show but it is still an amazingly beautiful place!

Been to many of those. Agree with Ohio’s which basically should include Conkel’s Hollow nearby, next to Old Man Cave State Park. Delaware, I say Cape Henlopen over Bombay Hook. For PA, there are more beautiful areas than DE Water Gap such as the PA Grand Canyon area.

Mine would either be Garden of the Gods or Maroon Bells...gun to head Maroon Bells.
I've been to GG, it was impressive, but for me Sand Dunes was more so, just an opinion. Maroon Bells? Now I know where that picture I worked on for about 4 hrs in a photoshop class came from!!
Maybe though the most impressive place is Wheeler Geologic, its biggest problem is, unlike GG, you cant just drive you car in there!! You either back pack in, ride a horse in, or you drive a well equipped off road 4 x 4 in. It only took us about 4 hrs to get in! and even more coming out as we had to pull one of the 4 x4's out of the snow!! But it is something to see!!!

LOL about the 4 hours in photoshop class. Its really easy to "overcook" things in photoshop and lightroom or any of the post processing software.

I would love to see Wheeler and have thought about it but like you said getting there is problematic.
It kind of reminds me of Tent Rocks in NM.

if you want to go to Wheeler, just roll into Creede and see if Luther is around (anybody in Kips will know, seriously) and if he's sober dont go, otherwise you'll have a hell of an adventure!!!

I agree with the Arizona and Utah ones, but I live in MD and think many views from down in St Mary's county are much better than Assateague.

Yea I was thinking the same thing. Even though Balto city is a complete mess the view from Federal hill toward the inner Harbor and the Domino Sugar plant at sunset is pretty spectacular.

Grew up down the road from DE Water Gap and I would still put the PA Grand Canyon above it. Beautiful place in fall.

Hamilton Pool for Texas? That surprises me. While I haven't been, I'd expect Big Bend to be higher up. While Hamilton Pool is nice, there have got to be many places that are nicer.

Having worked in Delaware for many years, I can attest that it doesn't have that many "beautiful" spots, but Bombay Hook wouldn't be near the top of my list.

Hagley along the Brandywine would be my pick...

For Colorado most anywhere in the San Juan Mountains would do, personally think Engineer pass is the best. Not many prettier town settings than Ouray, Telluride, Lake City, Durango and Silverton.

you would have thought that some of those places may have been mentioned in the link. But check the link and see what they thought would be the best for CO!
