Will have a more reader friendly version soon but here's all the changes.
Kobe King @ 250 lbs. Hopefully the added weight doesn't slow him down. He was very good last year covering ground from the MLB position. Perhaps the staff wants him bigger/stronger for shedding OL blocks? Will have a more reader friendly version soon but here's all the changes.
Might want to check the math for Kolin DinkinsA little bit of an easier look at the weight changes.
Penn State February Roster Updates: Weight Changes
Please note that not every recruits final high school weight was up to date prior to their enrollment at Penn State.pennstate.rivals.com
Change from when? Did first semester freshman really put on 30 lbs in a month? They have only been on campus a month.
Noted at the top that not all freshman weights were updated, so the freshman weights are the last weights we had them.Change from when? Did first semester freshman really put on 30 lbs in a month? They have only been on campus a month.
Thanks, that would've been a lot of weight!Might want to check the math for Kolin Dinkins
Good observations. Here's what stands out to me:
QB: Allar is still a big dude
RB: Allen and Singleton added a few pounds but the young guns in Wallace and Martin have added sufficient weight to run between the tackles if needed
WR: Lambert-Smith adding almost 10 pounds hopeful helps him break some tackles without loss of speed
TE: The young guns are all adding nicely and Cross is now our heaviest TE at 260
OL: Man these guys just have big moves up and down. Our starters have good size but a couple of the young OTs are very light (Boyer 251? We have TEs that are bigger).
DE: Sutton up to 270. Hopefully he keeps the speed and bend. Many younger guys added a good bit. Smith Vilbert at 284 still a DE? This kid's going to eat his way into the middle.
DT: Not sure that I like Beamon headed back to 280 but Izzard is up over 300 and Durant is close to 290 now. Is Ford at 308 recovered and ready to contribute? Has van den Berg improved to contribute more? Some of the new guys here are on the lighter side (they must have Cunningham on the break'em down to build'em back right program).
LB: Was mentioned already but King at 250 hopefully keeps his speed. Rojas listed at 225 but I see that he's said that he's 232 recently.
CB: Not much jumps out except Belgrave-Shorter gaining 9 lbs.
SAF: Reed and Winston good size but how is Nelson going to remain here at 223? He's already bigger than a lot of the LBs.
Singleton didn't look as explosive in 2023 as he did as a freshman. A couple of pounds shouldn't be a big deal but whether its the weight or whatever it would be great to see him with the burst he had as a freshman. Here's what stands out to me:

Jalen Harvey at 266. Might as well list him at DT.
he's a DE. I saw him many times this fall, I cant believe he's that much to be honest, he played around 240 this fall. He did not play basketball and enrolled early so the gain is understandable but he is a bigger version of Chop.Jalen Harvey at 266. Might as well list him at DT.
