Eighth Circuit court of appeals issues temporary injunction against Biden's vote buying scheme. Decent chance program will be tied up with appeals until after election. Tried to find actual case tonight but couldn't. https://nypost.com/2022/10/21/appeals-court-puts-halt-on-bidens-student-debt-forgiveness-plan/

The typical standard for granting a preliminary injunction is whether there is a probability of success, which means the chances that this court will ultimately grant the injunction are reasonably good. Everyone including Biden's own lawyers know that their action is illegal (strange that the party that believes in the rule of law would do this -- sarc) - only question is whether certain states or people have standing to challenge it.

Might not be a good political thing. Dems will say Reps want to take $10-$20k away from them.

Well if these people get $10k then they ought to plus the rest that didn't receive it up with $10k at some point. Maybe give us $2.5k tax breaks for 4 years? Let's spend, spend, spend and think it has no impact on the record inflation.

The true cost of this executive order is $10 trillion over a decade. Unless, of course, you believe they'll give current debtors $10k then say tough luck to all future borrowers.

If only someone would have had the foresight to challenge the Paycheck Protection Program in court we could have stopped that socialist handout.

Every citizen taxpayer in America should have standing to challenge it.

I think he meant that he and Jill voted for it.

It's hard to believe that this guy is still the President. Democrats have put the entire country at severe risk in order to install a bunch of behind-the-scenes, unelected operatives. We should not sugarcoat this. Study history. There is a name for this sort of thing. It certainly is not consistent with the intentions of our Constitution.

We should not be joking about it.

What do you suggest? Democrats won’t 25th Amendment Biden or impeach him. I am all ears.

The significant difference, dumb ass is because the effing government shut down the economy
Total lack of leadership from the highest office of government. Their answer to bad government policy is give free money as a reward, they should be ashamed.

You sound like the kind of guy who took the money and now has to justify the government handout you took.

Congress voted for that.
We know who was giving it away….

Here is the very short order issued several days ago. There is a very quick briefing schedule.
Hard to predict what they will do, but if they issued the order in such a massive case they undoubtedly have serious doubts about the legality of Biden's actions.

I wonder if this scam bought any votes this week. Most likely did.
Of course it did. I had former students who were already telling me what they were going to spend that money on
