Feds investigating Seth Williams....

Unfortunate for him that he lost the trustee election. It may have afforded him at least a partial shield under the EC umbrella.
I'm not advocating misplaced spending of campaign funds or public corruption but the amount doesn't seem large enough to warrant Federal attention. I'm sure there are bigger political fish to catch and fry out there. I'm suspect that the motives and objectives of investigating his finances go deeper. Could there have been a past connection with some of the Philly politicos that he and Kane originally refused to prosecute?

Remember that the Feds got Al Capone on tax evasion. Maybe they are just using this as a route to something else.

I wonder what the nature of Ali's relationship was with Seth in regards to his charitable fraud? I always thought Fina going to Williams for a job seemed rather odd - or, quite frankly, Williams providing one. The nature of Fina's and Williams' relationship seems to be that Fina had "the drop" on Ali, but why would that concern Williams? Maybe Fina had the drop on Williams via Ali and parlayed that into his new job....maybe all the small fry convictions were to make it appear that Ali was used for all he was worth by prosecuting these minnows while hiding that maybe the biggest fish of all was Williams (and maybe Fina knew it which is how he parlayed his new job).

"Billy Miller, a political consultant who works for Williams, said he knew nothing about any subpoenas. Miller referred questions to Matt Haverstick, an attorney representing Williams.

Haverstick, who has served as treasurer and on the board of directors of Second Chance Foundation, a nonprofit founded by Williams, did not respond to requests for comment."

Is that the same Haverstick who was involved with the Corman suit? If so, WTF? The stories change but all the names are the same.

"The Second Chance Foundation" has a familiar ring to it as well.

Plus, LOL, Seth's name being out there for Fattah's seat.

You cannot make this stuff up.
