Hack actually has a pretty clean pocket. I think the bucks only rushed four. Palmer does a great job stoning his man. The right side is taken care of and the left guard had schutt (the guy who gets credit for the sack) under control, until - Hack semi panics and steps forward to avoid a rush that isn't there and creates the sack. After watching this play multiple times this is a clear example of the qb causing the sack - and not the oline surrendering one.
Please note I think hack is a terrific kid. He may be rattled and so he's scrambling when there's nothing to scramble from but this critical play is on him. There were options and a play by a third year starter should have been make. The score should have been 24-17 with 10 minutes to play in the 4th.
This does not excuse the terrible play calling on third down and the lack of play action, etc.
This is a case of very little pocket awareness and a qb not going through his progressions.
